The Thought : Care thoughts are roaming around in my head. On Tuesday, Terry and I drove 135 miles round trip to take our dogs back to their original vet in Ponder, Texas. The Thought : I was reading Christian Fiction recently and part of one of the character's flaws was the 'gift' of manic depression. The Lord often has a serious sense of humor on these gifts. This is a 24 x 24 inch canvas and I used Holbein Duo Oils in multiple layers. Most of the area is in wide brush, but parts are in a 1/4 inch brush. The Thought : I was reading in 1 Peter when I came across this verse. Peter is sharing what is important for us in our lives, but taking it a step further is to realize what God has for us. Even though it is small, it is well worked over. Staying with Acrylics for some reason, I am exploring the depth of what I can do with them. Cool layers of blues were laid out on the canvas first, followed by the yellows. I knew the greens would emerge as the overlays began. The small accents of red and orange are like "spices" in your food. They bring out the movement of the composition accenting it just in balance to treat the eye and keep it exploring the painting.
