It was a commissioned painting and I used to paint longhorns often but the last one was about four years ago. The last one was a longhorn abstracted a little further.  Longhorns in Texas capture the full scale of color here in the Lone Star State.  Below is how they start from my Lakeside Studio.  I may share one a week or every two weeks from the five years I painted them.
