Cubby Holes of Love . Longhorn Silver Haze  A friend called wanting something special in his cubby for art... a special built in part of his wall for art, already with a light but needing a painting. He sent me pictures of his rugs, walls, pillows and I set to work. Is it going to hurt? Return to the easel and close your eyes.  Well, the eyes that keep me working suggested changes on Rocky.  So he had to have a facelift back on the easel.  No more rings around his eyes. No more longhorn spots... and a bit more expressive colors throughout his face.  He is on his way to Denver for the Show at Mirada the end of March.  I am not sure if Terry and I will be there or not but we are seriously making plans to attempt to. My students loved Texas History and not one of them failed the course when I taught it. Texas history is deep and exciting. Texas has evolved over and over again and so have the residents of Texas.  Now I am not a born Texan, but I am married to one and all our kids are Texas born.  Oh yes, it makes a difference. I do not budge on those. One went to Dutch Art and was sold to someone I knew wanting one.  I have never EVER EVER sent them out of the state or had them in any other gallery. Only that one, in a Dallas Gallery. Steve Sonnen at Mirada Fine Art has a plan. He has a show. It is the best of the west in Colorado. He has my horses. He has my wolves. He does not have a longhorn. Love being upstairs though as I have twice the space, no hard concrete under my feet and a beautiful view of the sky out the large double windows.
