Summer Winds by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2020 Summer Winds  by Laurie Pace - Sold.  Visit Ellepace.com to see available artwork.   Prints Available They say Summer Winds are normally hot. I know they are in Texas, but this morning we spent the morning with our almost five year old grandson on the square at Southlake Texas.  We danced by the fountains, tossed in coins, and ate huge cinnamon buns at a near by bakery.  As we sat beneath the trees in the shade around 10:30, it was about 75 degrees outside and the wind was from the north and cool.  This is unheard of in Texas in August.   Definitely a summer I will remember and attach it to a previously completed and sold painting, Summer Winds! Summer Winds is a contemporary palette knife oil painting of four horses with beautiful summer colors.  “ So may all your enemies perish, LORD! But may all who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength.” Then the land had peace forty years.

It is one of my Good People Series with this one titled Human Kind - Be Both   The entire piece is 90 x 60 and will be heading to California to a new gallery opening.   I promised I would not show the full painting until closer to time but wanted to share a sneak peak at the luscious colors.  I prayed as I started this painting that God would create in me a spirit of determination, strength, and stamina.  I want to

They found a painting I did about two years ago and fell in love with the colors and this will be a slightly smaller version of that painting with the colors needed for their room. There are enough changes in the composition of this contemporary horse painting that it will stand on its own when completed. “Meaningless! Meaningless!”     says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless!     Everything is meaningless.” Ecclesiastes 1:2 Read more as this is so socked full of meaning in our today world of too busy to breath or find time to be with God.  #horsepainting  #lauriepaceart  #equineart Laurie Pace A Texas Artist   Subscribe to my studio u

Crowning the Hill  48 x 48   © Laurie Pace 2014 Crowning the Hill Contemporary Horse Paintings  Size: 48 x 48  Oil on Canvas. Sold Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  This painting hangs in a restaurant in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.  I am hoping to make it up there this summer to see it hanging and to enjoy a wonderful meal.  Keeping up with my paintings is hard because there have been so many...but in the past three or four years I have painted less and enjoyed it more. Doing a larger paintings and connecting with the new owners and making the experience special is what makes it so very special. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.  Ephesians 6:18 #horsepainting  #lauriepaceart  #equineart Laurie Pace A Texas Artist   Subscribe to my studio update newsletter. The Dawn's Early Light  ©  L aurie Pace By The Dawn's Early Light    © +Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2014  Size: 30 x 40  Oil on Canvas. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  The painting was in my mind a few weeks ago and looking through my painting archives I came across a single horse with a sun rising entitled Dawn's Early Light.  I thought it would be appropriate to do a contemporary horse painting for the 4th of July and name it By Dawn's Early Light. Today is Independence Day in the United States. This is a holiday we all look forward from the time we are little bitty until we are old and in our rocking chairs.  In the old days when I was young....we had sparklers, small firecrackers and simple things to light off with our families.  I loved the holiday at my grandmother's farm. It was always darker in the country and the fireworks seem brighter.    When I had children, two of the three were boys that pla

Terry has my  dad's flags ready to line the sidewalks. I am so proud to carry on his tradition in our neighborhood. We have always put out our big flag, but this will be our first year to use Dad's flags. Lady L will be over later to help her Bampa put out the flags for tomorrow. Choice is inevitable.  Weighing pros and cons to make choices is one avenue to making a decision and the second way is to make a decision with your heart.  I find myself bouncing between the choice of lists and using my heart.  I have to say most of the time my heart leads with the Spirit of God guiding me.  I believe my core values are instilled in me through all my life experiences and those affect my heart decisions as well. This horse painting is small but packed through with heart choices on both color and approach to the canvas. My addiction is color but in painting for me that is a positive. Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the wa

Blue Horse on Orange, Horse Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Sold Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  Summer heat is cranking up and we wake just before dawn about 5:30 to begin our watering routine.  The garden is watered every morning and sometimes around dusk depending on the heat of the day.  The Strawberries are delicious..the carrots are sweet, the green beans are more than we can eat... Terry planted them every other week, so we should have those for months ahead.  I even have one lettuce that made the heat, and with it tomatoes, bell peppers, squash and zucchini.    Changes for the fall will be higher beds to grow in but other than that we are having fun eating from the garden. I have spoken with several other artists out there that are battling change with me. Our studios have moved and changed and we are struggling to get back into the 'grove' of feeling comfortable painting in the new area.  F
