In His Heavenly Light

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 In His Heavenly Light Oil on Canvas   by Laurie Pace  for my one million follower Walking with Empathy: A Life of Teaching, Faith, and Service After more than forty years invested in the classroom and teaching, one truth has guided my journey: teaching is not rooted in sympathy, but in true empathy. Sympathy observes from a distance, but empathy walks alongside. To teach—whether children or adults—is to understand the whole person: their struggles, their fears, their joys, and the unseen burdens they carry. The years I spent teaching did more than shape my professional life; they blessed me with a deeper understanding of the people closest to me—my family, my friends, and my community. Teaching opened my heart and sharpened my awareness that every individual brings their full life into every space they enter. Compassion is essential for those who are in pain or facing challenges. As b...

Deep in Red Rage

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Deep Red in Rage Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Deep Red in Rage...  Posting late today at 5:30, but still need to clean up the studio from painting. I painted and then piled more paint and then washed the canvas off late last night. The first layer was acrylic and way better than the oils... Then I go back and look at what I had before I did it.  Red Rage is not that painting... but I am in a period of finding my rhythm in front of the easel.  Enjoy the lush color!!! "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." John 3:17 I’ve spent a lot of time in Revelation this week. Something stirred deep within me—my “eyes of the heart” seemed to open, allowing me to see things I had missed in previous studies. As a teenager, Revelation felt like a frightening book. But it really isn’t, once you understand wh...

Two Pair is Four Pear

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 TWO PAIR is FOUR PEAR Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Blue Texas Skies . We closed out the All Star Season with our grandson this weekend and enjoyed each game with him. He has improved much over the past few weeks with some private coach training.  The painting... I loved the name, Two Pair is Four Pear . I went through a pear stage and even painted pears for the dining room... large and long fill of silver and gray and soft green pears with lush golds and caramel often with shades of blue.  Ephesians 5:25 "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her."  Married to someone I met at age 11, and he was 13... we have had many years of friendship and marriage.  This was another rough weekend with baseball, home chores and other family needs. I am very thankful for every day we have together left in this journey o...

Night Fall 2024 Learning to Trust what we cannot see.

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2023 First Day of 2024 Fades to Night Skies  by Laurie Pace   It is the end of that day again…the very first day of the new year. It has slipped into darkness with a cold wind out of the north.  Good food and great company made the day seem fuller.  Terry cooked up the black eyed peas and I made black bean meatballs and mashed potatoes.  It was delicious with cold slaw and cornbread! As evening darkens we pray we all learn to trust what we cannot see.  Give us light in this evening where shadows have crept in during the day.  May God’s love stream light around them and chase them away. 2023 has ended and for some, this year, challenged with illness, fears, pain and death, tears were shed with losses and trials. In the trials faced it is impossible to see your love Father. Give us faith not to doubt. Give us hope that you will see us through.  Give us your as...

Layers of color and overlays with contrast and surprise dynamics weave together this entire painting over a black background, keeping part of the "realism",  while loosing to abstract shapes throughout. It is stunning and a perfect gift size and only $125.00 This Blog took a turn to share what I prayed for today, for my adult children and all the grandchildren.  A group of art friends has been discussing the lack of the presence of faith in the lives of many Americans. It is important to live our faith every day so it  becomes a part of our working mind and our lives.  I posted this on Facebook This morning to close friends which included my family. " I am praying for all three o...

Fleeting Moment in Time... figurative painting by Texas artist Laurie Pace

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2023 Fleeting Moment SOLD  Oil on Canvas  by Laurie Pace   Shop other Available Artwork.  Sign up for my quarterly newsletter and painting sales. I am thinking the year I painted this was 2004 and probably fall. I really enjoyed the journey and the intended message with rose in hand was the thoughts we cannot read. Perhaps if her gaze was part of the painting, you might see wonderment or joy....OR you might see tears and heartbreak.  What ever it was... it is fleeting moments never to be locked in time, but we all manage to lock all these fleeting moments into feelings that linger in our minds and hearts.  “ Life is made up of a collection of moments that are not ours to keep. The pain we encounter throughout our days spent on this earth comes from the illusion that some moments can be held onto. Clinging to people and experiences that were n...
