It was medium large in size and we were all inquisitive.  As she pulled the box open out erupted beautiful fabrics in every imaginable color. It was memorizing just to witness the box opening. These rich fabrics were her collection of dance costumes over the years of dancing.  After every performance her mother had carefully packed away the costume, collecting many years toge

The Thought:    It was a long day yesterday. A long six hours of the day at least.  Terry and I laid out a full palette of grass in part of the back yard.  It is San Augustine Grass and here in Texas you buy it in bulk amounts on palettes of wood.   We could have done this in two hours, but he was soaking each square piece of grass in a mixture of root stimulator and water before we put it down.  We wore out and finally the last third we just placed on the ground and watered it really well.  I keep promising pictures, but they have to wait until I am through with the commission I have to do and maybe the wedding the first part of July.  Even being out in the sun in back for six hours today, I did not tire

The Thought:     Today is the national Day of Prayer.  Terry and I will be participating with our community lifting up the nation and all the needs of those we love. Join us today in this united day of prayer. I did it during a class demonstration on watercolor several years ago. The Thought : I was reading Christian Fiction recently and part of one of the character's flaws was the 'gift' of manic depression. The Lord often has a serious sense of humor on these gifts. But truly it is one if you can embrace it. In every gift or challenge there is something there for us to receive and then give back to others. The character in the book referred to the 'handling' of the mood swings by comparing it to hills and valleys. Our life journey always has hills and valleys. That is a given we can agree o
