"It's the perfect one!" A jelly bean... a cupcake... a pair of shoes... it didn't matter. To her, each moment held joy. As adults, we spend so much time worrying about tomorrow that we often miss today's blessings. After waking at 1:30 this morning and spending hours unable to sleep, I finally stopped trying to solve tomorrow's problems and began praying instead. God gently reminded me that He already knows the path ahead. That same lesson follows me into my studio. Every painting begins with uncertainty, but I've learned to trust the process, trust the gifts God has given me, and refuse to give up. My painting, Racing the Shoreline at Sunset, reminds me that horses don't worry about tomorrow....

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Pink Boy Acrylic on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   This horse, PINK BOY,  brings a huge smile to my face.    This was painted in 2013 after we moved from the lake to Dallas Ft Worth area.  I remember the day I worked on it and got up early to finish it the next morning.   Friday afternoon already. We ran to Whole Foods and picked up groceries and lunch to bring home. I would rather grab food (Although not whole foods plant based) there and bring it home.  I did eat a huge homemade salad before eating what I brought home. I ate mostly a pasta salad but it had olives which I do not keep in the house... a one time pleasure for sure. Also some rice but I had to have a few bites of Mac and Cheese...the stress reliever of all, and some Mashbos... not healthy made. I rarely go off diet but the stress has been back the last two days as decisions have been made over...

I have been in the studio working this morning and taking photos of a new Painting. The one above is Pony Up from 2012 when we lived at the Lake. I miss that studio with six large windows opening across the back of the house where I painted on a closed in porch looking toward the west but looking over the water. It was a dream come true!!! We were in our late fifties then. Not sure it would work as well scooting back out there in our early 70's.    I AM JUST EXCITED right now to be working on a large 30 x 40 inch painting. This painting "Under Texas Stars" is one I totally forgot about having the deep blue backgrounds.  I painted this in 2014 and it sold immediately after I placed it on my website.  Texas is a wide open state with a few glitches called Dallas, Ft Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston etc.  Those big cities are so bright they often outshine the stars where it is nothing but city lights.  The night sky in Texas is incredible.
