Dog Portrait Misty Rose's Apollo by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

I also must give a hug to Kimberly Santini who kept me sane as I do not do dogs...but this one is for a dear friend.  While I will paint for those I love.. Kimberly by way far is the dog artist you need to love! 20 x 20 inches  Oil on Canvas        ©Laurie Pace  Graphics One Design 1998-2011   Contact me for your own commissioned painting: Laurie      Do I know you? Words of the heart shared by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace Do I know you? I believe it is when we are truly broken that we begin to see who we are and if we are open, we learn who God really is. He has promised to support us, care of us and walk through life with us through our sin, our selfishness and our shame.  Who else would do that with you? Terry and one of our grand-dogs sharing chips. He will provide whe

"Best Friends" Dog Art Oil Painting by Laurie Pace

"Best Friends" 8 x 10 inches Oil on Linen Panel SOLD Contact me for Commissions...this was one: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace Graphics One Design 2009 " He said 'Do not fear, greatly beloved, you are safe. Be strong and courageous!' When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, 'Let my Lord speak, for you have strengthened me. '" Daniel 10:19 The Painting: A commission painting of two dogs, in the later years for a special lady...a gift from a special man in her life. The Thought: When I think of dogs many things goes through my head. They are a member of our family, they are always there giving love and companionship and they are protectors. When you are in their presence, they are there for you 100 percent. God is that way too. Old and corny I know, but GOD spelled backwards is dog. God is with you all the time. God is your protector all the time. Be secure in the knowledge that He has your front and your back sides at all times.
IN FLIGHT Contemporary Greyhound Dog Art Oil Painting SOLD Commission 15 x 30 inches Oil on Canvas Contact me for Commission work: Laurie "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." 2 Corinthians 3:17 In the spirit of the painting I wanted to stir my thoughts to the absolute freedom that you felt the day school let out for the summer. Do you remember back then? Three months off of no homework, tests, getting up at 7 am to be a school by 8 am. I do not imagine you look forward to prayer that way do you? Maybe we should... I don't but these thoughts are making me climb out of my box again. Our minds are such powerful tools. We can accomplish so much active imagination...and are free to express ourselves in so many ways through our gifts. Now think about the freedom to pray... to honor Him as the Father of all creation and mankind, and then to be excited to share with Him your day. Just as you do your spouse, your best friend, y

Psalm 42:1 It was such a surprise to get the mail in today and find a package with two copies of the newest SIGHTHOUND Magazine in my mailbox. One of the paintings I did last year for a collector in Sweden last year is the front cover of the Winter 2008-2009 Magazine. MY BABIES!!!! I love it! GOD IS GOOD! I truly have to give thanks to a collector in Ohio, Anne, who advised me last year to begin painting these wonderful dogs because of their grace and build being so similar to the horses I paint. Thank you Anne for giving me another purpose and direction with my artwork. When I think of the connections of so many generous people that came together for this to happen, I
FAST EDDIE Dog Portrait Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 36 inches SOLD Commission Painting Contact: Laurie Yes, I painted in New York. I painted Billie's Dog, Fast Eddie. My laptop has the pictures of Fast Eddie on it, but I have not in my bleary state of mind, transfered the pictures from the laptop to the Big Mac. These were still in the camera from our Wednesday Night Barbecue and Fire at Billie's home on Lake Juanita. Slightly tempered in paint choices, I used her oils and canvas to capture the look of her "child" Fast Eddie. He is quite a character. He does not like ANY men. He took exception to Terry once they got level on the floor and played. Terry is like the dog whisperer, he had Eddie totally in love before ten minutes passed. I painted out on Billie's deck, where deer run through the yards as well as bunnies and stray kitty cats. Mom snapped this picture of Billie and I as I finished Fast Eddies portrait. Terry is in the background m
WATCHING FOR YOU Whippet Sighthound Dog Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 36 inches SOLD! Contact me for Commission work. Laurie It is dark and dreary here in Dallas with low clouds and lots of humidity. Shipping seven pieces to the gallery in Blanco Texas today. AND shipping art supplies to Washington DC for the conference this next weekend. Morgan and I worked on the lesson plans yesterday. I am excited about another commission piece of an Azawakh. I cannot wait to get to the easel later to sketch this gorgeous dog out and start painting. There are also pics of two males running on the beach. I can see why they are compared to Thoroughbred horses. I hope I can catch their energy in my paintings. Catching the energy from God's Love is important in your life. Open your hands and He will fill them. Catch is, you must have faith and believe that. Open your heart and allow the love to bring warmth to your heart and your life. Then remember to pass it on. But as I was pulling the peach against the blue I could feel the dog in place of it and when I stepped back it was definitely there. The electrician is due this morning at eight thirty. She thinks she will finish up today with the wiring and next week Terry will address with her the breaker box. We need everything marked. Tonight will find hopefully working switches for the bedroom and our bathroom. It has been dark in there. On the list today is to line the painter up for the outside of the house. Also another Doc Trip with Mom to get her check up from the doc that took care of her in the hospital. She is growing stronger every day and that is obvious and something I give thanks for every waking moment. I took up a new quilt for her bed to her last night. I think she was surprised. Before she fell ill she had asked me about ours
