Strength

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Strength Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Good morning. .. I am on a wild swing in the studio... battling direction, seeking color, contrast and a different approach. Have not given up yet!  Your life is like that is many ways... the layers of experience, the moves made to go different directions and the choice of people you are with in life.   Revelation 1:18 "I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades. some wind." I was also reading in Streams of the Desert this morning... It is really important in life to know your direction and to know our Lord God and Jesus.  If you are walking with Him, please share the message and help others find their way before it is too late. George Mueller's writings are strong: "  Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown ...

Summer Horse 10

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Summer Horse 10 Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Good morning. . . late to the studio but thought I would blog quickly! This is a painting from a few years ago. I chose to post it because I loved the placement of shapes throughout the piece and the exchange and anticipation of colors woven through the composition. It is sold but I am gearing up for painting the rest of this week.  A generous person will prosper;  whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25 Refreshed... it is supposed to be fall and we are definitely still bordering 90s.  Hoping for a break in the next week.  Still having to water our trees and flowers because of drought and we still have to watch being outside because of Air Quality Alerts.  Share a hug and a smile today if you can. It will bring a smile if you do!  My husband leaned across the breakfast table...

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Push Against the Wind 12 x 12 Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   This is one of my favorites from a few years go.  How it cam out of me I am not sure...but I love it as much today as I did creating it.  It sold right away after I completed it.   I have been working at my easel last week and experimenting with approaching an older piece never finished. It is alway fun to do this as the base is on it and I can push any direction.  Are you starting to think about Christmas Gifts?  It is time.  I will try to do some small things in the next few weeks for affordable gift!  Proverbs 18:16 " A Gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great."  Here is to the week ahead my friends. House is in turmoil as we made changes to go with another installer for our fireplace.  Hubby and I are both worn out.  I am in the midst of ...

Golden Clouds Gathering

© Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2025 Golden Clouds Gathering Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   I was flying through the search engines on Duck Duck Go   and I came across many paintings dating back to 2005 era that I do not have because of my PC crashing.  This was one of them.  I will be sharing them both here and on my website blog.  Perhaps digging more each day. I did a series of maybe 5-7 paintings of gatherings of horses with lots of color.  This one gave me goose bumps to see the color combos!  Enjoy the 'eye candy' of older paintings! “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” – Psalm 139:23-24 This is short today. I have a class starting in a few moments and wanted to get this published before it starts. I am still in my exercise clothes, so this is brief today! What is the bigg...

© Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2025 Painting in Progress and not named yet. Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Saturday evening and a late blog.  The day has been filled with thunder and rain all day. West of us has had 15-19 inches and I am positive some flooding. We were to get more tonight but it looks like it shifted further south. Was hoping at least!   So this morning with the rain and thunder right out side my north two large windows... I watched the rain fall between my trellis of Passion vines... I continued to paint on this piece above and it is now almost done.   You can see from this photo in progress how I grid out to make sure the horses are in my sketch in the correct position.  I know it looks off as I had to pull it to fit in the frame... but they were all straight.  Photo foran almost finished piece tomorrow or Monda y.  Isaiah 54:17  " No weapon forged against ...
