"I will always remember painting this piece . I had just started sharing my painting process on Facebook when disaster hit with Facebook and someone posting porn on my personal page and then six imposters hit my Meta account charging $9999 to my paypal account for advertising.  Talk about feeling trampled as FB froze me in every direction allowing those imposters to continue business... It is done and all through the power of God and not me. I felt lost a few times in the middle of it and He pressed me forward. I hope you enjoy it.  "  Social Security Dang, I could never

The nearest crossing to us was only two blocks away.  I knew I would not go back to sleep, so I gently pulled back the sheet and quietly tiptoed to the door. The dogs were asleep as I quietly walked by... thankfully the studio was on the other side of the house. I left Terry sleeping soundly. Little did I know that I was about to paint one of my lifelong favorites. Bennett, The Light in the Heart Yep... it is the same painting. Well you are not the same on the outside as you were 10 years ago... life has passed and experiences have changed things inside and outside of you.   This is the same painting but with some final layering of colors with bleed throughs of prior layers.  Takes time with abstract to allow it to 'age' and evolve to where it feels done.  During my studio renovation this piece has been on a

People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.” ― Marilyn Monroe Paintings change for sure. This started as a red wolf... look how far that went.  People change too. Both Paintings and People change. Some for the better and some not for the better.  So this red wolf became part of my expression for an

How can I keep it, conceal it, bury it where I may never lose it? I want to kneel as it falls over me like rain, gather it up with lace and silk, and press it over myself again.” ― Anaïs Nin, Henry & June These are two more close ups in the painting. There are hearts painted throughout the piece as well as centralized and it has "GOD" right above the heart.  It is in Lady L's handwriting or printing at the time.
