Blue Hills Landscape still in progress by Texas Artist Laurie Pace 40 x 40 inches Oil on Canvas   sold I am at the waiting stage. I have painted, layered and triple layered the paint. Now it hangs in the studio for the period of review where I dab here and there working on things. I think the sky is going to change out colors... and I may pull some more reds and oranges through out. Stay tuned... ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012 Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      Paths Chosen Are you the type that wants to drive down those small roads to see where they go? Terry shakes his head, but takes off at my plea for a new adventure.  We have discovered that is not always good, and sometimes it is just the opposite, you find things you would have missed in your lifetime.      Paths before us, clear cut or full of  obstacles, are both new to us.  The 'obstacles' path may not have bee

MEDITERRANEAN MORNING ~ Landscape by Laurie Justus Pace 6 x 24 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Art for the Home Contact me for commissions or pricing. Click here. SOLD ON DAILY PAINTERS! Thank you. This is a tall thin painting waiting for the perfect spot in your home! Thick ridge paint offers the touch of impressionism on steroids. We are hoping today to know what house will be ours. We are working two contracts with much prayer. One is a large five bedroom with a pretty nice painting area and lovely flowerbeds and gardens. The second came up late yesterday and we scrambled through traffic to cross Dallas to see it. It is a contemporary modern home of the late fifties, early sixties. Round rock walls and unique classic lines. Not much yard but enough for the dogs. It is in a sought after area and we knew if we didn't get over there and offer a contract there would be no chance of it. We left here and thirty minutes into our one hour journey the Realtor ph
THE PATH 8 x 16 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Art Oil Paintings Daily Wednesday with rain east of us. We are dry so we will be watering later. I need and want to paint this morning. Too much time spent away from my studio! This painting is a colorful one full of life... I will be doing more of these collage of colors! Reminds me of the quilt we unearthed at Terry's dad's home...made by his grandmother probably in the sixties from the fabrics on the quilt. BRIGHT blues, yellows, oranges, reds etc. The quilt makes you smile when you look at it. So does this painting. No room for the blues or depression. Terry and I were reading in the Bible this morning out of Acts and then we read Jonah. Such an interesting story and conflict going on in Jonah for those sailors on the boat...what to do with the troublemaker Jonah who brought the anger of the Lord on them. Do you ever feel that way in life? I do. There are some folks that really rile me to the point th
