For ten years I had the title of this painting spelled wrong. On the Lamb. There are no lambs in this painting. 😂

There are seven in the full painting... see it on my website blog.  Link below.   © Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2026 On the Lam Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   ON THE LAM — And Apparently I’ve Been There Too For ten years I had the title of this painting spelled wrong. On the Lamb. There are no lambs in this painting. 😂 What I meant was On the Lam—running away, escaping, avoiding something. That little discovery sent my brain racing almost as quickly as the horses in the painting. For the past several years, I have struggled with something I never expected: losing confidence behind the wheel. After losing a car I loved, I went through several vehicles that simply never felt right. Eventually I found myself driving less and less. Seven weeks ago, that finally changed. I found a vehicle that feels right to me. This morning I drove Hubby and me home from Costco while my passenger played chess on h...

Then he told me he wanted me to see the red moon. But not to stay outside long because of the danger of the sun—which, considering it was 4:15 in the morning, left me with a few questions...

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2026 Face With In- the beginnings Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   At 4:15 this morning, a long beep woke me. Terry was already in the kitchen making coffee and wanted me to see the red moon. I made myself a cup of hot tea, crawled back into bed, and began going through old photographs on my computer. Instead of simply cleaning out files, I found myself walking backward through years of paintings. And something happened. I began seeing my work differently. I saw strength I had forgotten was there. Color. Courage. Paintings where I trusted myself enough to follow an idea without knowing exactly where it would lead. Then I came across Face Within. I loved the beginning of this painting. I still do. The face had something—the color, the light, those unexpected blues and greens moving through her skin. But I couldn't figure out what the rest of the painting needed. So instead of w...

There are Lines EVERYWHERE in our lives... have you noticed?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2026 Crossing the County Line Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   There are lines everywhere in life. State lines.  County lines.  Traffic lanes.  Rules.  Schedules.  Boundaries.  Sometimes it feels as though everything is telling us where to go and where not to go.   Looking again at my painting Crossing the County Line, I realized those feelings had found their way onto the canvas years ago. The horses live among lines, shapes and divisions, yet they seem to be searching for open space. Maybe we are sometimes doing the same thing. I remember the freedom of our years living at the lake—the woods, the stars, the quiet and simply having room to breathe.  Today I am learning that freedom isn't always about changing where we live. Sometimes it is about finding that open place within ourselves again and trusting God to lead us from there. ...

Sometimes I find myself running faster simply because life is pulling me in too many directions.

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2026 The Advantage Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Sometimes I find myself running faster simply because life is pulling me in too many directions. Romans 5 reminds us that suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope. Looking at my painting The Advantage today made me think differently about the races we run. Perhaps the advantage isn't being faster or getting ahead. Perhaps it is learning when to slow down, trust God with the course, and run the race at the pace He has given us. Yesterday, my race included painting, piano, guitar, hymns—and finally simply being still enough to enjoy them. There is no perfect race. Run it at your pace. Trust God with the course.   Elle Read more at EllePace.com      To purchase a Print of this painting Click Here Laurie Pace, Elle Pace, The Advantage, The Races We Run in Our...

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2026 Tiny Red Roses Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   The Flowers We Carry Some flowers bloom only for a season. Others bloom forever in our memories. As I painted tiny red roses today, I found myself back in my Nonnie's garden—chasing fireflies, choosing flowers for the breakfast table, and discovering that beauty is something to notice every day. Perhaps that is where an artist's heart begins. Under Texas Stars   © Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2026 Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Some of our sweetest memories begin with music. Long before I became a professional artist, a little transistor radio filled my upstairs bedroom while I painted on a drafting board that served as my first easel. Looking back, I realize music, friendships, faith, and art were already weaving together the threads of a life I could never have imagined.
