Things change in split seconds and our entire lives change course. If you died tomorrow what would happen? If you work for a company... they would hire a replacement for you in two weeks. My brother and mother are going to drive north to Bonham this morning to visit my dad. I am 50/50 on going as I spent the day shopping with mother yesterday and I really need to stick around here and I am not the best car rider in the back seat when driving through major weather. They are predicting the rains to be here later this afternoon. At the rate the storm keeps changing paths, we may not see as much rain here in Dallas at all...but where Dad is, is north east of here and that is in the path of heavier rain. BUT I am up out of bed, it is 65 degrees outside and the sun is shinning. The HVAC man is here and they have begun there work. Our heat depends on the plumber showing up and when he will get here. Today I will be working on a painting for the new gallery here in Texas. Size will be 3 x 4 ft and definitely not one of TErry's favorite to box. I am culling ideas over in my head right now so I am floating between oils and acrylics. Painting in the kitchen yesterday afternoon was nice with all the light. Made me realize how much light I need to really get into my painting area. Diane wrote she uses big construction flood type lights... much to think about. I am determined this morning to get to the easel BEFORE six a.m. Still behind and trying to stay organized to take a few steps forward! This is a painting that I did ten years ago. Light stroking develops the horses with clarity and the feel of their coat when you stroke them. This painting was rescued from the west coast. It literally had been stolen at one time and it is now home! Hopefully it will find it's true home over the next few weeks. Yesterday I believe I did 8000 plus steps. I had my step meter up to close to 5000 and somehow bumped it with my hand and I reset itself. So I do not know how far I went before I noted that. But by bedtime I had done another 2800, so I am guessing right at 8000. I did better on eating, but still felt over stuffed last night. Will begin watching calories this weekend. OH, and I did my tummy hold...
