Looking back to June in 2010... I am remembering this was a commissioned horse painting. I had done a series of these colorful paintings of three hors es the year before. It was hot that June in 2010 and I painted it in the back studio of my home overlooking the lake and our catfish pond.   I am up to any commissions if you are ready for something new and 'hot' in your life! " Hot town, summer in the city -  Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty.  Been down, isn't it a pity -  Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city. " 1966 The Lovin Spoonful   Still today, I find myself confronted by unexpected challenges in our daily life  and learning to lean more minute by minute with the Lord.  I know this is happening to many of you, although t

"I will always remember painting this piece . I had just started sharing my painting process on Facebook when disaster hit with Facebook and someone posting porn on my personal page and then six imposters hit my Meta account charging $9999 to my paypal account for advertising.  Talk about feeling trampled as FB froze me in every direction allowing those imposters to continue business...    © Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2020 Wishing You Were Here  8 x 8 Oil on Panel  Daily Paintings   by Laurie Pace   Visit Ellepace.com to see available artwork.   I painted yesterday!  I did not start the dogs. I did a small 8 x 8 horse painting... the one above, as a Daily Painting.  It is available at $199.  The dog painting will begin today.  Slow progress on stamina.  I stood cleaning up mess before I could even do this painting.  By one in the afternoon I was pretty well ready to eat some lunch and break for the day. It was Saturday after all. I truly won't do much on the dog painting today.  I may finish the etching or begin with a light under coat to knock out the white canvas.  Pretty sure I will use oil.   What do you like to do on Sundays?   We still cannot attend church, or really safely go out to eat. I do not grocery shop on Sundays unless it is an emergency.  To be perfectly honest, I am writing this blog on Saturday

We are 10-15 degrees warmer than we should be. In the colorful painting of horses above, they are celebrating the cooler colorful nights and are up under the moon dancing in the leaves. When do you 'dance in the leaves'? God wants us to be happy in life and joyful. Today finds many of us tired and burdened with stress and work in our lives. ( I am probably talking about the 40 and up generations)  I am blessed to have three children, all married with children... that grew up conservative, empathetic to o
