Pink Boy

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Pink Boy Acrylic on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   This horse, PINK BOY,  brings a huge smile to my face.    This was painted in 2013 after we moved from the lake to Dallas Ft Worth area.  I remember the day I worked on it and got up early to finish it the next morning.   Friday afternoon already. We ran to Whole Foods and picked up groceries and lunch to bring home. I would rather grab food (Although not whole foods plant based) there and bring it home.  I did eat a huge homemade salad before eating what I brought home. I ate mostly a pasta salad but it had olives which I do not keep in the house... a one time pleasure for sure. Also some rice but I had to have a few bites of Mac and Cheese...the stress reliever of all, and some Mashbos... not healthy made. I rarely go off diet but the stress has been back the last two days as decisions have been made over...

On the Lamb Contemporary Horse Painting by Elle Pace

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 On the Lamb Horse Painting Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   What fun it was to paint this beauty... a bright and brilliant horse painting.  The horses in this abstract painting are literally racing on the green spring grass... each trying to out run the other. It makes me smile and giggle to watch them and enjoy the beauty of palette knife painting at its best.  So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26-28 Palm Sunday, it was a beautiful service at Countryside Bible Church this morning.  Our grandson joined us there and spent the day with us.  Treasure him always.  He is going on 28 this summer.  I...

Snow or Sun? Memories of winter when you cannot race the sun.

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Racing the Sun Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   First things first.  Day 5 Winner is S Wilson Congrats!!! Do you remember   racing home from a friends house, running as fast as you could? It gets more exciting when others are racing with you to see who gets to your front porch first! It is especially fun in the snow and I believe there is snow on the ground in this painting.  I painted this when my studio overlooked the waters of Lake Cypress Springs, and we had a three or four acre cat fish pond in our backyard. East Texas trees soared all around our home.  My studio had six windows and a glass door leading out to the deck and the trees. Often we could watch the dear scamper across the land dam between the lake and the pond while snow flakes floated through the air. Here was our home.  We had bird feeders everywhere, passion vines growing in the ...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

Gathering for the Run... Wait upon the Lord

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Gathering Run Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Such a beautiful day!  Did not eat the best diet today and I probably gained 5 pounds... but tomorrow I will be prepared! HAHA... not. New Bible Study with food included!!!!  I might mention a large yogurt covered pretzel, and half of a taco rolled with egg inside. (I do not eat eggs... still it was hopeless. Lets change the subject.) The Gathering Run Horse Painting is a favorite with that LUSH LUSH orange and yellow in the center left and right, with pulls that resemble highways on a map.   Can you see the horses?  I think we have four in here.  mmm... maybe five here.  Just spotted another one.   Wish I knew or remembered!  Do you like these?  Any idea why we worry so much? Why did I ask, Do you like these horses? I must go way way back in my life as a worrier. ...
