Do you remember   racing home from a friends house, running as fast as you could? It gets more exciting when others are racing with you to see who gets to your front porch first! It is especially fun in the snow and I believe there is snow on the ground in this painting.  I painted this when my studio overlooked the waters of Lake Cypress Springs, and we had a three or four acre cat fish pond in our backyard. East Texas trees soared all around our home.  My studio had six windows and a glass door leading out to the deck and the trees. Often we could watch the dear scamper across the land dam between the lake and the pond while snow flakes floated through the air. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

HAHA... not. New Bible Study with food included!!!!  I might mention a large yogurt covered pretzel, and half of a taco rolled with egg inside. (I do not eat eggs... still it was hopeless. Lets change the subject.) The Gathering Run Horse Painting is a favorite with that LUSH LUSH orange and yellow in the center left and right, with pulls that resemble highways on a map.   Can you see the horses?  I think we have four in here.  mmm... maybe five here.  Just spotted another one.   Wish I knew or remembered!  Do you like these?  Any idea why we worry so much? It never made the website, I had shared progress pieces on my blog back then and one of my clients said... it is mine. I want it.  Whirlwind has to do with Elijah in the Bible.  2 Kings 2:11 "As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind." Elijah was great prophet and you really need to read to story to grasp it. Some say it foreshadowed Christ's Ascension after his death.   As I study this painting, I truly am motivated to paint. I need to order a new easel as I sold my large one three years ago just before my Mom fell sick. I had been using a smaller one and it just...
