Romans 5 reminds us that suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope. Looking at my painting The Advantage today made me think differently about the races we run. Perhaps the advantage isn't being faster or getting ahead. Perhaps it is learning when to slow down, trust God with the course, and run the race at the pace He has given us. Yesterday, my race included painting, piano, guitar, hymns—and finally simply being still enough to enjoy them. There is no perfect race. Run it at your pace. Trust God with the course.
