Found Love

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Found Love Commissioned painting 2013 by Laurie Pace   IT IS THURSDAY!    We have official reached Heat Advisories here in north Texas. I heard the Severe Heat area is both  north and north east from us. Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee ... and more. I think I will be thankful for ours and thinking we might break 100-105 through this weekend and into next week. Wondering if the power is still off in Nebraska from their week of storms.  These two horses were a commission painting and it was a larger one as well. I am remembering MAYBE it went to Missouri? I know it left the state. It was 24 x 30 and of course Holbein Oils... buttery and lush! Would love to paint for you! He guided them by the skillfulness of his hands." Ps 79:72 In our lives it is impossible for us to predict the storms we may face before they arrive out of no where. Leaning into the Lord and giving thanks ...

If you can't change it, change the way you think about it. Don't complain." Maya Angelou, Wouldn't Take Nothing For My Journey Now.  Have you ever experienced your heart telling you not to go a certain direction with life, yet you go ahead and do it? I usually find it might start out wonderful but slowly disintegrates into disaster.  I have to allow the Lord to be lead in my li...

Breaking Light Progress with Texas Artist Laurie Pace, Contemporary Horse Paintings

Progress on Breaking Light   © +Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2014  Size:40 x 30  Oil on Canvas. Sold Commissioned painting. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  The three main horses are established and I am working to see if I can hold at three or if a fourth has to be added. At this time in this contemporary horse painting I am working closely with the decorator and the collector to match up colors from the fabrics and paints in the room. This is often hard for me because I want bits and tastes of many colors. I have finished it up and will post the final image tomorrow. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Commissioned Painting for Collector  through Mirada Fine Art Denver  30 x 30 inches Oil on Canvas. SOLD  Golden Rod was a painting completed in 2012 for my opening show at Mirada Fine Art in Denver.  The painting sold the first week it was there. A collector saw images of it this fall and truly was in love with certain aspects of the painting, so I consented to paint one similar. I always worry about the spirit of a second horse painting, but after just adding the background here, I knew it was already an independent horse painting. My job will be to allow ...

This is not how I paint now, but this is the style desired for this commissioned piece. Energy throbs in this piece with the angles of paint and strokes and the thickness of the paint. Day Break Commissioned Horse Paintings by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Day Break Commissioned Painting  28 x 56 inches Oil on Canvas. SOLD  As I eased around the top blue corner right I broke out in brilliant golds and yellows using Indian Yellow and white, a little light yellow cad and then infused white and oranges throughout the area. The paint will really thicken now and become a textured part of the composition. I was veering away from too much green but wanted a little hint of sprigs of green as I worked toward the bottom right.
