Watering Hole Crested Butte

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Watering Hole Crested Butte Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Mirada Fine Art and Laurie Pace   Watering Hole Crested Butte is a contemporary representational abstract horse painting . This definitely entices me to paint blindly like this and see what can be created again. I do have one in process right now but realized I need to let go further!  Matthew 8:8, 13 The centurion answered, “Lord, I’m not worthy for you to come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.” Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way. Let it be done for you as you have believed.” His servant was healed in that hour. Was a restful night and for this morning's blog I was going to use something from scripture from early morning 5 am,  because this morning I was in my morning Devotion from Daily Bible and here is an excerpt from it, but I encourage you to read the short devotion from...

Landscape Patch

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Landscape Patch Oil on Canvas 2011  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Landscape Patch was  painted in Dec of 2011. I totally forgot this painting!  Color testing, but fun to do and it sold. Patches of colors in a pattern at sunrise!Looks like my backyard at the lake! Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good,  A stronghold in the day of trouble,  And He knows those who take refuge in Him. Friday morning I started this blog and it is now almost supper time as I finish it up!  I do believe the verse above says a lot!  We need a stronghold every single step we take, just knowing the Lord is walking with us and often has his hand on our back in encouragement. Hubby has worked double today trying to assemble a new swing just to find out it is only 18 inches above the ground. Not good for me being 5 ft 9 inches and he is just over 6 feet. Lowes is picking it back up tomorrow mor...

Imagine a field full of horses in living color.   Colossians 3:17 “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. ”        Before I went to bed last night, I had a back and forth conversation in my head seeking wise counsel and debating where to reach out.  When you are lost, alone and filled with stress... where? In my pea brain I am thinking I will wait until morning and research things for women and faith, for weakness, for loss etc  but that did not happen. What happened...

Exhausted by Elle Pace

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Exhausted Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Exhausted.   This figurative painting with my palette knife was created back in 2008 after preparing Thanksgiving dinner. Hubby took a photo of me sitting on a kitchen chair with the red pot on the stove. I used it as my sketch I did not do prior!!!   I had so much fun painting this!!  Never did another one like, should I do more?  James 1:3  " Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance." No life exists that has not been tested. Some of us are tested  and are able to push on to grow past it. Some of us are tested and hit in rapid fire over several years. I am still there. Early this morning at 12:05 I was wide awake trying to push thoughts away to return to sleep. The room began to fill with prayer and Bible verses from my mind and cry, but the shadows seemed full of them. I ...

Sunset Sail

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Sunset Sail Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   This beautiful Sailboat painting of the boat cutting through the lake at Sunset. It was about 34 years ago at this time my husband proposed to me. We have known each other for 62 years. We had two sailboats most of our Married life, English Racing Catamarans, Panther Craft Darts. I miss our time living at the lake and racing through the water.  Matthew 8:23-27 " Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples woke him, saying, ‘Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!’ He replied, ‘You of little faith, why are you so afraid?’ Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.”  Our lives are filled with stormy times and challenging days and nights. Walk with the ...

Texas Spring Time... even the Horses know!

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Texas Spring Time 3 x 4 ft  Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Colorful Horses here in Texas! This was a commission painting if I remember correctly. I still love it but it was painted back in about 2012 I believe.    Horse paintings always trigger excitement and color on my canvas! Psalm 27:14 "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!"  I have been struggling with this very thing... waiting for the Lord and not interfering in His plans. As a mother, it can be frightful and cause anxiety... because a mother typically does not let go if she believes she has a solution.  I know from experience you end up in too much worry and pain. Trusting... Trusting... Trusting.  Silencing the "what ifs" and stepping back. This applies to everyday life as well.  Serve the Lord... with thanksgiving, praise and ...

The Good People Commission

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025   A painting similar to this one is for sale and is linked to the last Good People Painting in the Series of roughly 10 and there will be no more!  The new 2024 one is available on my website for purchase. Click the painting and it will take you there! The Good People Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   The Good People aka The Wonderers  This painting was a commission painting originally called The Wonderers, but I listened to so much Jack Johnson it became The Good People. This was first of this series and I painted it for an architect in Chicago. It was big but not overlarge. Thinking 42 in width. I did this when we were living at the lake, most likely 2012 or 2011.  I remember it was really freezing in my back studio over looking the lake and I set an easel up in the living room across from the fireplace.  A REAL FIREPLACE ... and working wit...
