Between Friends, A Hug can go a Long Way!

© +Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2009 A Hug Between Friends  by Laurie Pace - Sold.  Visit Ellepace.com to see available artwork.   We are bombarded daily with worldly complications and stress.  Not a day goes by that most of us would not welcome a good strong hug.  I love it when hubby takes me in a huge hug in the kitchen. He wraps his arms around me tightly...  I close my eyes and just float in his love radiating through me... blocking out every stress or conflict in my body.   Does a hug affect you that way? Read more about hugs in my journal on my website. “ Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God . I promise to post a photo of the final painting once it is done.  This morning I was reading in Psalm 16. I have read this psalm many times in my life, but it was this morning it truly wrapped my heart.   We all seek to be happy.  My grandmother always told me happiness came fro

When I was younger, there were times I was really uncomfortable being alone. What I have learned in the past years is that silence and alone time builds a strength in understanding who I am, and that I can be comfortable in my life as this person created by God. Perhaps when we master the solitude of aloneness and quiet, we begin to find our self worth.   Too often in life today, we are pushed by our own thoughts and needs to finish or accomplish things. We all set goals that are unattainable and our self reflection is then that of failu

You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”   Eleanor Roosevelt  I began this blog on Sunday but here it is late on Monday. Terry and I are heading to Fedex with two large packages heading to Mirada Fine Art for a new Southwest Show coming up. Things have been crazy here. I was finishing up three rather large paintings for that, along with the 60 x 90 inch triptych for San Diego...which he packs up late

Melina Marchetta I did not even want to ‘share my thoughts today’ after I read this…but I want to share the rest of the quote. “This hand says you spend the rest of your life with me," he said, holding out his left hand, "and this one says I spend the rest of my life with you. Today, Terry took me shopping to find something ‘dressy’ to wear to an event this weekend.  After loosing more weight since Thanksgiving, my closet only has jeans and tops in it… and some sweaters. Most every thing is swimming on me.  The word dress or any form of it emerging into dressy does not exist.   He was in full determined game, but we should have gone to the mall and not to the Southlake Town Center.    He was more determined than me.  We  started at Anthropologie  ( I think that was the name of it.)
