Standing Ground, where do you stand?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Standing Ground Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   We have all been there!  In our lives we often have to take a stand. Sometimes we need to make sure we stand on the side of the Lord! Take a stand with Jesus. My paintings are my gift from the Lord. The passion and creativity of painting has always been dedicated to my faith and the gifts the Lord provided for me in my life so far. I honor and credit Him for this blessing and gift.  It seems right now like Christianity is not 'acceptable' in this age, but our home and our family align with the Lord in our life through our faith and our actions. What does it take to stand for the Lord? You cannot stand in the distance... you cannot hide your faith and convictions.  The Cross stands before us, even before you, where Jesus was crucified.  It is central to our faith. It is here you find the strength to take a stand for Chri...

Found Love

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Found Love Commissioned painting 2013 by Laurie Pace   IT IS THURSDAY!    We have official reached Heat Advisories here in north Texas. I heard the Severe Heat area is both  north and north east from us. Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee ... and more. I think I will be thankful for ours and thinking we might break 100-105 through this weekend and into next week. Wondering if the power is still off in Nebraska from their week of storms.  These two horses were a commission painting and it was a larger one as well. I am remembering MAYBE it went to Missouri? I know it left the state. It was 24 x 30 and of course Holbein Oils... buttery and lush! Would love to paint for you! He guided them by the skillfulness of his hands." Ps 79:72 In our lives it is impossible for us to predict the storms we may face before they arrive out of no where. Leaning into the Lord and giving thanks ...

The Colors of Life

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2023 Face Within .  This painting led off in my woman series of warriors back in 2022. Returning to figurative painting for a small collection, this one is magical. Can you find the second face? Layers of color and overlays criss cross this entire painting mapping out two faces.  Can you find the second one?  30 x 40 inches lush bright colors. Piled and layered by brush and palette knife. I am known and collected for my intense color.  The Latest Quest Putting God first.  In the Bible it makes it seem very simple. From my understanding, we need to move our thinking process and all our thoughts to a divine level. Once we do that, we’ll see that God‘s actually got all the physical stuff taken care of. Had to think about that forward to really define what a divine level might mean. And Colossians, chapter 3 verse two, it says “Set your mind on things above, not on things of the earth.” ...

Finding the Light with Texas Artist Laurie Pace

The unending summer heat in Texas is dragging us all down. The garden is burned up, the trees have to be deep watered constantly and we are now not mowing because the only way the yard will survive is not mowing low. Terry has been using the deep water probes moving them throughout the yard so no water is lost through evaporation using our sprinkler system.  I am waiting for a reminder letter from our HOA to mow. The endless days of 105-110 degrees (feels like 5-10 degrees higher with the humidity) curtails outdoor activities, including swimming after 2 pm. or even being outside to walk in the evenings at seven when the temps are still 107 outside. The heat and closeness in the house with drapes closed to bar the western sun, makes...

DEAD or ALIVE? Terry brought me dead flowers this morning.... Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2023 Dead or Alive? Grow with God.  by Laurie Pace   Shop other Available Artwork.  Sign up for my quarterly newsletter and painting sales. Terry brought me in cut flowers this morning!  I was thrilled....Dead flowers, are they really dead?   Absolutely NOT!  Through death they provide the seeds for new blooms in our lives.   ( By the way... these are Zinnias) There is always a gift or legacy that survives a person's death as well, and new things to grow. Memories always remain, some dimming with the years. The trust and love of someone dear that has left us through death journeying on to Heaven,  encourages us to live forward and carry on the the very things we have learned in life from them.  Only three out of our seven grandchildren knew my Dad.(His great grandchildren) He lived a life always serving others and I pray the seeds he pla...
