Not sure what has happened to the freedom and the joy in this world right now, but I am going to continue painting a bit longer! At least I have thoughts to direction.  THAT is a beginning!!  I am also ordering a new smaller easel for my studio then the big Santa Fe 2 I had in here. It became frustrating to move it around.  Hubby has my lights set up and I am thinking this will work! Meanwhile... I am painting it forward! Romans 8:28 ...

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 After the Afternoon Rains Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   My heart is breaking for all that were impacted by the hurricane.  Usually after regular rain, the sun comes out and there is still moisture in the air and everything seems to glow and glisten.  When I saw the shots of Asheville NC and the Artist's Studios under mud and water to the roofs ... my artist heart cannot even imagine.  Many of us do not know the physical devastation of events like this. Living in Texas and at one time about an hour or so from the coast in Nacogdoches for 18 years, we weathered many storms but nothing with devastation that hit Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.  We have friends in Tennessee but I have not heard if they were affected.  It would be awesome if Artists across the United States could come together and do what they did for Hawaii, o...

HAHA... not. New Bible Study with food included!!!!  I might mention a large yogurt covered pretzel, and half of a taco rolled with egg inside. (I do not eat eggs... still it was hopeless. Lets change the subject.) The Gathering Run Horse Painting is a favorite with that LUSH LUSH orange and yellow in the center left and right, with pulls that resemble highways on a map.   Can you see the horses?  I think we have four in here.  mmm... maybe five here.  Just spotted another one.   Wish I knew or remembered!  Do you like these?  Any idea why we worry so much? The Light Within, is one of my painted pony pulls and I rarely do them.  But I did do this one today!   There is a tale of the Painted Ponies from Golden Pond Studio aka Elle Pace Studio. Back in 2006 a nude was turned into a field of ponies coming straight at you. That is when the story began of those painted pony pulls. There is only one available in large size and it is posted on my website but is at Mirada Fine Art. This is a small one. Left over paint which led to adding more paint and presto over the afternoon hours, The Light Within was born. This is the most collected of all my styles. Our two granddaughters came to spend the day.  It was full of school work first, and then time in the backyard in the sun helping their Bampa rake leaves from our nine trees out back!  I am trying to figure out how to shop for Christmas.  Still need to buy gifts for two of the grandsons... we are not doing gifts for the adults ...
