Bottom layering in this contemporary horse painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace, Palette knife painting.

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Covering the Last Words 4 x 6 feet Oil on Canvas. SOLD  You can see there was quite a bit of progress as the bottom half of the painting began to establish it's own defined pattern. I know from this the top will be reworked. It does not fit the flow that has manifested at the bottom of this horse painting. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Left Over Soft Yellow... painting on the way.  24 x 30  inches Oil on Canvas.   I began working in the upper right corner with some turquoise, white and Verditer blue not a clue of where the color palette was going, only knowing I had some left over soft yellow to use from another painting.  Of course I knew a horse painting would result but no direction but following the flow of color and paint from top right to lower left and in between.   Laurie Pace A Texas Artist Golden Pond Studio My Blog          My Website          Giclees on Canvas, Prints and Cards          CFAI.co      GALLERY LINKS Mirada Fine Art Denver CO ,   The Rare Gallery Jackson Hole WY   The White Dog Gallery Carbondale, CO. RUNNING IN COLOR Contemporary ART, Horse Palette Knife Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 30 x 30 inches of Fabulous Color SOLD Ok as I was researching on line I came across a story written by an Italian pilot from WWI. He was describing how young men would go up for test rides to see if they could learn to fly. One of his statements in his journey was the line, " You pulled it towards you to climb, pushed it away from you to descend." Oh my gosh. Reread that again. But this time say, " You pulled GOD towards you to climb, pushed GOD away from you to descend." Of course he was talking about the "stick" in the airplane that controls up and down direction, but the words from the story hit me hard. When we do climb to our goals through pray and redirection, we grow and mature on the way. Often in life though we push God away and do not spend time in the word and with many of those decisions we descend further away from the plan God has for our lives...
