God lives. He is near. He is real. He is not only aware of us but cares for us. He is our Father. he is accessible to all who will seek Him." Gordon B Hinckley  There is something comforting about seeing my husband’s cowboy boots or running shoes on the floor by his red chair. Usually his socks are stuffed hanging out of the top of each boot or stuffed in the running shoe. It tells me he is home and when he is home I feel his protection and love surrounding me tightly. I am no longer alone at home.... he is wi

TEATIME Watercolor by Laurie Pace 14 x 16 Watercolor on Paper contact me to purchase: Email: Laurie From the musty infected cold dirty studio I enter this short blog. This is day nine with out heat. The interior thermostat reads 52 degrees in the house. We have warm temps thru today and over the next week predictions starting tomorrow of cold, and by the next weekend possible sleet. My brother dropped off Mucinex last night and it seems to be helping my congestion break up in my chest. I found out I have to fend for myself and started a pot of chicken vegetable soup this morning that will last me at least three days. Terry brought home sourdough bread which makes me feel like I am eating lemons, but maybe with the soup it will work. So no cold sweet potatoes today, hot soup in about two hours. I am only up because I had to get bills paid and pull paintings for shipment. Stacey, my daughter is coming to help me get the bedroom clean and change the bedsheets. She will finish
AFTERNOON SHOWER Watercolor by Laurie Pace SOLD I am blogging swiftly so I can get to my easel. Yesterday was NOT a productive painting day! Hopefully today I can get into an earlier pace. HOUSE UPDATE: I am still dancing the happy dance that my bathroom light switch works now. I no longer have to screw a bulb in and out to have light! Terry installed a new faucet in our sink in the Master Bath and YEAH it works. Before water trickled out with not even enough to wet your tooth brush. This is a strange house but it is coming around! On the diet side I continue to hear from folks that love weight watchers and those that like South Beach. My daughter does Weight Watchers, but lives on TV dinners. I cannot do that. I am a fresh food freak that prefers everything to be natural. RARELY anything from a can, and if it does, it has less than five ingredients. I truly like the RICE Diet, but my life is too complicated to have to think! I walked 8000 steps yesterday and did my tummy h
Horsey Gossip 30 x 30 inches Oil on Canvas A Painting a Day SOLD Good morning! This is a delightful COLORFUL group of hoses I had fun painting the past two days. I thought I would take it to Wyoming, but ya know the paint is sooo thick it will not be dry to make the trip! So many personalities in this painting...hard to take them all in. Don't forget to stop in at EARTH WORKS ART GALLERY . Yesterday my high school girlfriend Barbie drove out from Dallas. She is in visiting from Salt Lake City. We took art together in junior high school...that is where we met! I think it was first period art with Mr Craig at Lake Highlands Jr High School. Wonder if he is still alive? I learned so much from him. We even did architecture and designed our own homes in 8th grade! I even used that lesson when I taught 8th grade art. ANY way, after a yummy dinner at the FABULOUS Ponder Steak house, we came back to the house and she began a painting. She claims she has not painted in her adult life
