Racing the Sunset 3 ft by 4 ft horse painting...

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Racing the Sunset Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Count the horses!!!  The strength of the pack of wild horses as sunset settles in the west. Count the horses again!   This is 3 x 4 ft in size.   It was a commissioned painting and painted between 2011 and 2012.   John 11: 25-26  "Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”   Storms hit early this morning around 4:45. The winds were strong at 65 mph. I am not sure if we had hail or not but it was reported in the area. The rain should be clearing by mid morning, and I know our trees and grass and flowers are benefiting from this moisture. Summers are harsh here.   Seems like our lives happen in the same way. Things arriv...

By Dawn's Early Light by Elle Pace

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Dawn's Early Light Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   This contemporary colorful horse painting was done in 2015 for a show, and it sold in the first few days. I have a passion for color and a strong eye for composition. This piece was done in 'one paint', in other words, no painting over it.  I rather liked the approach even today looking backwards.  1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." I chose this verse in thoughts that many of us are going through trying times.  In Bible reading it is evident if you have anxiety or fear, you are not at peace with God and His way.  Our trials are challenges for us each to learn to not have the fear or anxiety or worry.  One writer said the actual words, "If you have fear or worry, then you have a door open for Satan."  Next time I blog, I am going to try to remember the book I...

I can do all things through Him....

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Painted Ponies Spring Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace    Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through him who gives me strength. Good morning. ..  We have just a few hours before COLD arrives again here in North Texas. By Wed temps will be below freezing at night and close to zero or below for a 'feels like'.  We have loaded the bird feeders and will keep an eye on them. We had close to fifty birds earlier snacking away at our full feeders. Cardinals, Robins, and a red breasted small bird I need to look up... also doves and few tiny black baby birds.  The painting today is one from 2014 I believe... With the well known marked of color and light making this more of an evening herd than a morning herd. These are my known Painted ponies... aka the pulled paint that makes them special, my abstract horse paintings!  We are special to God. He has a pur...

Better Together... Horse Painting always makes it better!

I painted this for the youngest daughter of my dearest best friend in my life. Take the Netflix Series, Firefly Lane and start it with us being young moms with small children. Life was always better together and especially with Charlene and our kids. I cannot leave out MaryEllen Maddox. She was the dearest of our 'Nanny' members of our family. She was a student from Stephen F Austin State University and she helped with my children while I worked or had classes. My degree was finished but I wanted to teach and had to take some extra credits. MaryEllen was the best! We were all slightly crazy. Charlene and I loved to take off in her Suburban and go east on the country road they lived on, suddenly taking veering tur...
