My peonies are blooming too. These flowers are my vision when things begin to fail around me, or evil seems to arise.  In your life now and before, there are likely things you did not like that you had to deal with no matter what.  Over the years you learn resilience from these times and often that came at a price of knocking your head a few times, the hard way.  Today we all have to learn to endure in faith like NEVER BEFORE. What the enemy meant for evil, God can turn it around for our own good. We must trust in the Lord. Letting Go Our summer finally ended. Yesterday morning the winds switched from the south (we have been at 80 degrees for a week, down from 90-95 the week before) and with the north wind zooming in, Fall officially arrived with a cold freeze last night. It was 31 this morning but felt like mid twenties.  BLAST OF BLUE! I am working on a large canvas and this small one today . I have written often about 'getting in the way of the painting' and over controlling the paint itself. It works rarely when you do this. When you tightly paint or over compensate for what the subject is, you tend to lose the freshness of painting and the joy of the journey.  I am feeling that way with the larger painting... so...
