Spirit With Us by a Texas Artist Laurie Pace SOLD 30 x 40 inches Oil on Canvas   The couple from the UK prayed about the name of the painting. They based it on the Trinity in a sense, but thinking of a marriage where two become together as one, Keith reflected as God at the top of the triangle and he and his wife the bottom two points. Progression on Three Arabians 30 x 40 inches Oil on Canvas   I began working on this painting yesterday. I did the green and gold background with a touch of mango. After the acrylic dried, I drew the picture in charcoal on the canvas. There is light in each of us, even in our darkest moments. We are made from God's love and light. It is woven into our very being.   Thinking of old Testament stories as the Israelites broke their bondage from Egypt, they followed the light into freedom.  The light came through Moses to them from God. Be aware of the light inside of you... God's light. Your life is unfolding as He wants it to unfold. Even the missteps will lead you somewhere...

Next Sketch of the Three Arabians 30 x 40 painting to be Sold commission We added redirection with the heads of the Arabian horses in this painting.  The collector wants the blowing manes etc and the use of color.  I will begin covering my canvas with a base acrylic wash and then will draw this out on the surface for placement...just a light sketch very little detail. The movement of paint must have freedom..the tightness of the sketch mus hold in my head. Arabian Gold 24 x 48 inches  Oil on Canvas SOLD It is now in the waiting and watching period where I walk by this horse painting every day.. gazing, squinting and letting it rest. I will sit and listen again to Moby and maybe to Heat... Arabian Gold in Progress 24 x 48 inches  Oil on Canvas This is zooming in close on one horse... I am using the trail of dust to insert jewel like tones. Why you ask? Because most Americans think of a desert as wasteland, heat and sand. It is not in the Middle East. Below the sands are the centuries of earth's formation of pools of oil and gas. The desert shimmers in the sunlight... tiny glass like reflections in colors... and below the real 'jewels' . The collector chose four black Arabians and wanted them to have power and strength. As I work on this horse painting, there are moments of hesitation and then the realization that going forward as I have it the only way to discover the true fabric weave of this painting. Arabians in the Desert, now named Arabian Gold 24 x 48 inches Oil I am still working on this horse painting... feeling lost in all the black of the horses. I have this love affair with color in my horse paintings and it is truly difficult for my palette knife to carve out paint all in black. I want to power forth with more color.  The music from my buyer revolves around Moby. I have been to take a liking to many of their pieces.  There is also a song by Jewel, Peggy Lee and Ive Mendez.
