Spirit With Us, Three Arabian Horses Painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Spirit With Us by a Texas Artist Laurie Pace SOLD 30 x 40 inches Oil on Canvas   The couple from the UK prayed about the name of the painting. They based it on the Trinity in a sense, but thinking of a marriage where two become together as one, Keith reflected as God at the top of the triangle and he and his wife the bottom two points. As you reduce the size of the triangle... all comes together closer as one.  He also mentioned the white Arabian symbolized purity in the Holy Spirit and the two brown Arabians were representative of he and his wife and their state of uncleanness, still working to become closer to the Father.  ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      The Linen Cloth The linen cloth tied round his waist to catch the filth from my journey's haste, He knelt before me basin at his side - Water mixed with tears as he knew what I would hide. Progression on Three Arabian Horse Painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Progression on Three Arabians 30 x 40 inches Oil on Canvas   The journey continues as I paint... three Arabian horses which is SOLD and will live in the UK with a new collector.   This couple has been a delight to work with and the music I paint by, chosen by them, is some of my favorite as well.  I have been reading in Psalms through out this past week but am into Luke this week as you can read about below.  Follow along in the Spirit of the Paint... ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      Stones of the Heart Weeping tears  wash the dirt from rock but not from my heart. Silent thoughts scream with echoes of memories past piling beyond the limits of  my mind. Can I climb the pile to the highest point to see through eyes of grace? Only through the giving of grace can I clean my  heart of hurt. This morning he gave me a s

Progression on Three Arabians 30 x 40 inches Oil on Canvas   I began working on this painting yesterday. I did the green and gold background with a touch of mango. After the acrylic dried, I drew the picture in charcoal on the canvas. Next I will begin painting. ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      Celebrate the Light There is light even in the darkest of night. There is light in each of us, even in our darkest moments. We are made from God's love and light. It is woven into our very being.   Thinking of old Testament stories as the Israelites broke their bondage from Egypt, they followed the light into freedom.  The light came through Moses to them from God. Be aware of the light inside of you... God's light. Your life is unfolding as He wants it to unfold. Even the missteps will lead you somewhere and you need to be certain God is right there

Final Sketch Three Arabians Horse Painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Next Sketch of the Three Arabians 30 x 40 painting to be Sold commission We added redirection with the heads of the Arabian horses in this painting.  The collector wants the blowing manes etc and the use of color.  I will begin covering my canvas with a base acrylic wash and then will draw this out on the surface for placement...just a light sketch very little detail. The movement of paint must have freedom..the tightness of the sketch mus hold in my head. He chose to have one head bowing to emphasize the grace of the neck.     ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting : Laurie      WINNER of the GiveAway Painting : Leslie Carlson from Oklahoma!  Thank you Leslie... The Journey of Three Arabians, Horse Painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

The Journey of Three Arabians 30 x 40 inches  Oil on Canvas I have completed several sketches for this painting. These are not refined sketches yet. After the composition is chosen, then I will do a more defined sketch of each horse for the composition.   ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting: Laurie      Everything You Took From Me I was reading the  newest issue of AARP  (they start sending it to you when you turn fifty) and was deep into the article on Sharon Stone.  I shoved the magazine in front of Terry and he said,  "Wow she looks better today than back then."   "everything you took from me..." How did she get there? "everything you took from me..." It is an incredible article  that covers a journey in her personal life.  A prayer shared with her by a close friend kept her sane and kept her focused on Him. "Thank you, God, for e

Arabian Gold Horse Painting, by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Arabian Gold 24 x 48 inches  Oil on Canvas SOLD It is now in the waiting and watching period where I walk by this horse painting every day.. gazing, squinting and letting it rest. I will sit and listen again to Moby and maybe to Heat... I want to feel the pulsation of the beat of the music with the racing of the horses and define the connection in the painting.   ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      Resolution Reading is a passion with me.  Author Laura Frantz    knows I take it all pretty serious and am really picky about what I read and the style of writing.  She and  Liz Curtis Higgs  are two of my favorites as well as  Lauraine Snelling. Arabian Gold in Progress Horse Painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Arabian Gold in Progress 24 x 48 inches  Oil on Canvas This is zooming in close on one horse... I am using the trail of dust to insert jewel like tones. Why you ask? Because most Americans think of a desert as wasteland, heat and sand. It is not in the Middle East. Below the sands are the centuries of earth's formation of pools of oil and gas. The desert shimmers in the sunlight... tiny glass like reflections in colors... and below the real 'jewels' . The collector chose four black Arabians and wanted them to have power and strength. As I work on this horse painting, there are moments of hesitation and then the realization that going forward as I have it the only way to discover the true fabric weave of this painting. The 'soul' that makes it come to life to the viewer. ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      One Person at a Time... perfect Harmony

Arabian Gold, Horse Painting of Four Black Arabian Horses by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Arabians in the Desert, now named Arabian Gold 24 x 48 inches Oil I am still working on this horse painting... feeling lost in all the black of the horses. I have this love affair with color in my horse paintings and it is truly difficult for my palette knife to carve out paint all in black. I want to power forth with more color.  The music from my buyer revolves around Moby. I have been to take a liking to many of their pieces.  There is also a song by Jewel, Peggy Lee and Ive Mendez. Part of my my joy is sharing the music that my collectors love, listening to it when I work on my paintings. ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie       Healing We all become wounded warriors in life.
