SOFT NUDE Nude Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 15 x 30 SOLD I do not think I am quite finished, will work on the face some more today, but it is close. I started this yesterday and went through so many revisions my head spins. My usually nudes are colorful and thick with paint. This one is soft and solid at the same time. I am listening to harp music here in the studio and with it's softness I am ready to go back to bed. Thought I was going to run errands with my mom, but that was canceled, so I will paint today. God's perfect presence is with in you today and you will be healed. It may not be from something you have in mind, but it will be for something he has on his mind. Our perfect good and our delight has always been primary in his plan for each of us. Step back from your priorities and your supplications and listen to what He has for your life. It is perfect for it is His plan. Grace, Laurie "The man and his wife were both naked , and they felt no shame.&qu
In the Raw ~ Nude by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 36 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Art for your Home SOLD There is something about color and the body and the play of lights and shadows that urges this forward. Actually painted from sketches I did in college YEARS ago, too many to count...but authenticate in my box of work. This is my third in the series of Nudes 2007. I did two in 2006. Yesterday I played in paint in the morning experimenting with a new technique and approach. Taking Diane's advise at least. Started another typical explosion of color painting and sketched out a commissioned wolf painting I will start this morning. I will finish up my first piece for the Hong Kong Gallery today too....and then get ready for teaching this afternoon. BUSY day. Even in the midst of the BUSY I know there is divine order surrounding me. All circumstances fall into place for God's plan, even the challenging ones. Walk in faith today and go forward with your faith know
NUDE TWO ~ Contemporary Art by Laurie Justus Pace 22 X 28 inches Oil on Canvas SOLD WOW, we went to the mirror and the mask exhibit at the Kimball Museum in Ft Worth. It was quite a gathering of portraits and such from some renown artists...My brother Kirk and Sister in law Leslie spurred the trip on and we ended up a Caro's. Caro's is a f a b u l o u s FABULOUS Mexican Restaurant near the TCU campus. Perhaps that is why I am up at Three a.m.! TOO Much good food. Poor Terry needs his sleep. Hopefully I will go back in and crash later this morning. Meanwhile I am keeping it WAY quiet in the house. I will be starting a new painting after watching a quiet sunset on the way home in the car...triggered some thought to paint at least. IF you live in the Dallas area, I will be plugging the Arboretum show next weekend. I am in booth A22. BOOTH, egads, white tent, need to call Debbie and find out WHEN she is coming with the tent. I do not do tent shows. This is a major
