Cloudy Sail, Contemporary Sailboat Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Cloudy Sailing 36 x 40  inches Oil on Canvas. SOLD Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  Not my normal. WHY? Not enough color. Friend it is painted for wanted specific colors to match the room and it does do that. I felt like I was painting with my hands tied behind my back.  I do like it ...like it much better in person than in this picture. Sailboat leans with the wind on this cloudy day in this unusual sailboat painting. Terry had his corneal surgery last week, so my painting time is pretty limited. He has a two week of DO NOTHING but that two week of do nothing started with 48 hours on his back. That was not fun. We return to the doctor tomorrow to double check everything and one more time in about three more weeks. It takes four months before there could be stability in the eye they did surgery on.  God remains good...all the time bringing comfort to us. I read somewhere a quote on
DANCING IN COLOR Contemporary Art Ballerinas in Color by Laurie Justus Pace CONTACT ME TO PURCHASE! FOUR 8 x 10 Paintings! Great gift for the holidays for that special little girl in your life! Laurie Email me for additional single pictures of all girls Laurie Yesterday we traveled to Bonham to visit Dad with family members that were free to go. We had a wonderful birthday lunch at the restaurant and a long visit together. Dad seemed weaker yesterday than he has in quite a while. I hope to return on Thursday for his true birthday. I am not sure this will touch many of you and then again I do not know who it will touch. It is rough stepping in a room with your father and he knows not who you are. He cannot call you by name, but he smiles that same smile you have memorized in your lifetime with him and says, "Hey George, how are you today." You know that works well for me. So lunch was Jerry and Gladys and all the "Georges". My dad has not gone away and disa
MOOOrning Two Cow Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 8 x 10 Oil on Linen Panel SOLD Contact me for Commission Work: Laurie Yesterday I went to Bonham to see my Dad with my brother and sister-in-law and my mom. Here is a slide show from our trip! We are still so pleased with the staff and the care at the VA home in Bonham. The folks that work there take such good care of their patients. It was a good move for good care of my dad. My Dad was pretty adamant yesterday that it was time to retire. I know this is so difficult for him as he has times he is frightened not knowing where he is in his confusion. He still recognizes my mom for sure, and did recognize my younger brother Kirk in a picture out of the blue, but did not know my name or my brother's name yesterday. As I choke back tears I know he knows my heart. I know his heart knows my heart and nothing, not even death will ever destroy that. I praise the Lord and give thanks for the almost 79 years of my dad's life an
DUTCH BLOOMS Flower Art by Laurie Justus Pace 22 x 28 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas SOLD Looking a bit closer: SOLD thru Daily Painters. THANKS! JOY JOY JOY! This painting was pure Joy. I had been to Asel Art to pick up some light yellow paint and bought some big brushes. I used them on the back ground on this painting and then piled the paint dimensionally on the flowers. It is thick! The painting smiles at you when you look at it. Pure Joy. From a suggestion by someone that wanted a painting and missed it, I have added the Paypal buy it now button! Will see if this works I guess. Thinking back over the years I remember the words ACTS. I know many of you remember it is for praying. Adoration Confession Thanksgiving and Supplication. So many times when we rush to pray it is in desperation for a panic situation or a frantic need. Doing this too often you forget to thanks or to praise the Lord for His greatness. Remembering how to act with ACTS sometimes brings me back to ce

Laurie Pace Once again I pulled two canvas on each of my easels and painted a second composition of the abstract horses on color fields. They can be owned separately or together if someone wants lively color across the room! Monday dawns and the sun is already peaking over the horizon. I slept in until six thirty. Very unusual. I am blogging, then feeding my dogs, maybe walking the dogs and then painting for a few hours before we head into FEDEX and then Dallas to go measure at the new house. The rest of the day will be filled with Whole Foods and eating of course. Tom mentioned that I always tend to m
