White Stallion Rules, Contemporary Horse Paintings by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 White Stallion Rules  30 x 30 inches Oil on Canvas. SOLD  Another Archival painting... again you can see the changes in my work over the years from 2008 forward.  Again I cannot stress enough how important it is for growth in the artist as well as growth in the work. If you did the same thing everyday you would not learn and grow from life.  So each painting is a step on my journey. This was from several years ago.  His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2 Peter: 1   Laurie Pace A Texas Artist Pace Studio  Graphics One Design My Blog          My Website          Giclees on Canvas, Prints and Cards          CFAI.co      GALLERY LINKS Mirada Fine Art Denver CO ,   The Rare Gallery Jackson Hole WY   The White Dog Gallery Carbondale, CO. Five hours total driving time.  One of those love hate things of being on the road, but knowing it is rare for the family to gather in one place. It helped that our son-on-law Larry was whipping up some healthy chicken chili. It was the thought that kept us coming... that and playing with Lady L. As we left Mount Vernon, Terry had on a variety of political talk shows.  That alone is a retreat into prayers or other thoughts for me. Everything gets hashed and bashed on the TV and I truly did not want to hear it for two and 1/2 hours in the car yesterday morning. But I did. The saving part was as we hit the edge of Dalla

What is indwelling in your so strongly that it is something identified with you?  HINT:   It is never what you think it is, believe me.  When we look in the mirror we see something totally different than everyone else sees.  We see what we want to see. So what do others see? When we are born we arrive totally dependent on others for our existence.  So from earliest moments we relate to 'others' before we learn to become aware of ourselves. If we were blessed with a loving family, we were kissed and nurtured and raised in God's light. We felt significant and loved and we grew up knowing of the Father's hand in our daily life.  Now what abou

How do we get there in our personal lives?  We are faced with the magnitude of our 'society' our 'jobs' and our 'families'.  Further down on the list is church and God.  I am learning now it does not work that way. There is no balance, only frustration

Okay, so I didn't know who or what Hoover's Hills were. Back in 1932 as the great Depression pressed the American people, the veterans that had served in the war had been promised extra pay but the contract was for bonus money in 1945.  Here were these veterans starving and unemployed, basically destitute. These men were promised $1.25 for each day  they served over seas and $1 a day for each day they served here in the states.   They were dubbed the BONUS ARMY as they set up camp across the river from the Capital at Anacostia Flats. They built their shelters out of whatever they

Low times of grief are needed to provide the contrast to joy and fulfillment. Comparing it to music is looking at the 'harmony' or lack of harmony, which is  dissonance . Cognitive dissonance refers back to the core of life and living.  Conflict or incongruity. There is a vast collection of music in the world with thousands of voices, instruments and infinite ways to arrange notes together to create something unique.  Music is made up of simple basic notes.  The notes are compli

As I reflect more on the wisdom of not worrying... substituting joy instantly into my thought process when it begins to waver into forbidden worry area... I find that JOY is mine...and it is but a blink and a positive thought away. How easy could that be? There are times in our lives that our spirits ebb and drop into a low area. I believe it must be normal because if we did not have our lows we would not have our highs.  Days of deep sadness are balanced by days of laughter and love with family or friends.  Some days we find depressing thoughts creeping into our mind and other days we are bouncing out of bed at first l

How would you cross over?   Easy answer for me who does not like to drive. If it were a driving situation I typically hit a bridge and go fast fast fast....I figure if I go slow the anguish and fear have longer to take hold of me... so it is easier to take a deep cleansing breath and increase my speed to cross knowing full well God is right beside me in the process. But what if the bridge is soooo long that you cannot d

DETAIL PICTURES Celebrating Color Yesterday morning I woke up in time to watch the leaving of the chapel by William and Kate.  I lingered in bed till almost eight enjoying the cold air creeping in the open windows and watching the news on the wedding.  Terry got up and pulled open the curtains and in flooded the morning light.  It was delightful. It was lovely... it reminded me of waking up at my grandmother's farm in St Louis in the country.  She had white curtains that fluttered on the window in the morning breeze. With light of course comes color. They are woven together permanently bound by God.  You cannot have one without the other.  So when I struggled up
