Pretty Sunflower Sunflower Floral Art Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 6 x 6 inches of Oil on Board SOLD OFF DAILY PAINTERS! THANK YOU FOR COLLECTING! Contact me: Laurie Rainy Tuesday today, but we are still waiting for the rain to arrive. This will be a short blog as I want to get a walk in before it comes our way. Before we walk though, I will sit in my garden room and prepare for the day. Close my eyes, try not to fall back asleep, relax and imagine myself surrounded by God's light. It is from this meditation I will receive the necessary tools to make this day and to serve Him as I should today. What is to be done? I know it will appear to me through out the day with out me looking for it. What is to be done, will be done. He guides us all through our days if we just stay focused on Him. Grace, Laurie "By the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet in...
OPENING 24 x 24 inches Oil on Canvas A Painting a Day It is Friday. I have been painting since seven, then walked a mile, ate my oatmeal and was preparing to start another painting, but have decided to make a fast trip into Dallas to maybe have lunch with my parents. Mom phoned to say Dad was a little under the weather. I have several pieces sketched out on the canvas ready to go when I return and I will probably be painting all weekend! INSPIRED!!! Truly Inspired. The sunflower opening was so deep as I worked...the small tidbits of color making up the inner core of the flower reminded me of people in a room or in a city...all different colors and strokes, all different but together making up the central portion of the flower. Then you have the petals stretching open, greeting the sun of the new day.... a new life, a new beginning, a new time...a new age, a new journey. As I finished it I wasn't sure I liked it. As it has hung next to my computer desk I have become deep with i...
Texas Sunflowers Hwy 75 Oil on Canvas 11 x 14 inches A Painting a Day SOLD Good morning! Boy was I glad to be back home yesterday. We drove into Dallas for a Doc visit, groceries and a stop for shoes at Whole Earth Provisions. BUT from the first step out of the car in Dallas my sinus reacted violently swelling shut to the ozone in the air. After we left and arrived home early evening,...but bed I was fine. They say this spring is the worst on record for allergy sufferers and they also said it was actually worse in the city than the country which is reverse of what you would think. Has something to do with the pollen clinging to the pollution in the air. On with life! Today is finish wash day and prepare for painting this week. I will be working on another sunflower similar to the one above. This one is on auction with ARTBYUS.com. Wish more buyers looked there, much nicer to work with the Togels and this great auction place for art. You might check it out!~ This painting has T...
