The Marsh... of our lives? Walking with God.

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 The Marsh 6 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   I did two of these paintings about three years ago. They both sold immediately to a Florida Collector. Simple and elegant for a horse painting.  Ephesians 5:1-2 "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma."  One of the biggest challenges in walking with God is trusting Him and not trying to out think Him or to do everything your way. It never works.  The Apostle Paul wrote of his own struggles in Romans 7 .  Romans 7: 22-23 “ So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the ...

Encircle with God in the Center

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Encircle Oil on Canvas .... this was a commission painting by Laurie Pace Good morning. . . in the studio but it is already lunch time. Going to blog and go cook and this piece has inspired me to come back and work on the one I have on the easel. This painting tells a story I cannot share because it was a commissioned piece. But there is joy in it everywhere. Deeply planted roots for a family and their faith. Scroll down to see the beginning sketches before the paint hit the canvas. First a Bible verse and then the horses...and then the spirit of the paint in fully colors! With our membership class ending this Sunday, God placed this in my heart for today. It means much to me... and to live like this is only found in a small cross section of humans, but I want to strive to be here... without worry, without pressures, and living in His love and mercy.  From my reading this morning… Streams of the D...

Crossing the Rio Grande

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2023 Crossing the Rio Grande 5 x 8 feet  Oils on Canvas. Commission This was one of three commissions completed for a law firm in Houston. We were living out at Lake Cypress Springs during that time and the canvas size was 5 x 8 ft for two of them and I did a panel triplet for the third one.  I have many of the process pictures on this, but am sharing mainly the raw beauty of the final painting and the area of the Rio Grande that has the same colors and wild feel. All was done in Palette Knife with a dance of color and texture creating the story.  If you want a personal commission painting for your home... contact me on my website.  I would need to know the size and the subject matter, your time table of need, a down payment and the dance with paint can begin.  Strength from Sorrow Now it came to pass after the death of Moses, the servant of the Lord, that the Lord spoke...

It involves you and me." Distracted, Gansey glanced up from the computer screen."Were you talking to me or Ronan?" "Either. I'm flexible." Blue made a small, terrible noise. "I would appreciate if you'd turn your inner eye towards the water."  Not sure why I liked this quote, but think it is the mention of the inner eye.  Our outer eyes open and close to the physical world, but our inner eye is perhaps our soul.  As a believer, the Holy ...
