Flowers everywhere...

Flower in the Air, Flowers Everywhere © Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2026 Flowers in the Air Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   While allowing a recent horse painting to rest, I revisited one of my favorite abstract floral works, Flowers in the Air, Flowers Everywhere. Created entirely with a palette knife, this piece explores movement, color, and layered texture in a bold and expressive way. The eye is drawn first to the red flowers, then carried through the painting by sweeping strokes of blue, green, and black. Rather than relying on structured lines, the composition is built through motion and repetition, keeping the viewer engaged within the surface of the painting. With thick, sculptural layers of paint and strong directional pulls, this piece reflects the energy and rhythm that color alone can create. It’s a painting that invites you to pause, explore, and feel—whether that brings a sense of calm or a ...

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 White Blooms  24 x 24 Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   It is morning in Texas and it is already warm!!   Hoping next week our evening temps will touch the high sixties but daytime this week has been mid to high 90's.  I worked on the 3 x 4 painting yesterday and already this morning. Our hearts will be with the gathering in Arizona for Charlie Kirk. He was strong in faith and dedicated husband and father.  We are praying for peace right now in our country.  Elle Shop other Available Artwork.  Sign up for my quarterly newsletter and painting sales. Yellow Rose

© Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2025 Yellow Rose Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Yellow Rose -  The Texas state flower is the bluebonnet but the Yellow Rose of Texas is the song!!!  Where did that come from?  It became popular during the U.S. Civil War, especially among cavalry men from the south and from Texas. On YouTube  "There's a yellow rose in Texas, I'm going there to see, No other Feller knows her, Nobody known to me. She cried so when I left her, It's like to broke my heart, And if we ever meet again, We'd never walk apart. |Chorus:She's the sweetest little rosebud, That Texas ever knew, Her eyes are bright as diamonds, They sparkle like the dew; You may talk about your Clementine, And sing of Rosalee, But the Yellow Rose of Texas, Is the only gal for me.:| When the Rio Grande is flowing, The stars are shining bright, She walked along the river, On a quiet summer night: She said if you'll reme...

Flower Gathering

© Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2025 Flower Gathering Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Flowers to you!  I painted this in a workshop at the Dutch Art Gallery with Nancy Medina. She was an artist of Texas back then...now Colorado... and I took my mom to paint at this workshop too.  It truly was fun. I did sell it to a collector knowing it was painted at a workshop. I chose my own flowers and filled my own vase and followed Nancy's directions.  Isaiah 35:4 " Say to those with fearful hearts, ‘Be strong, do not fear; your God will come.'”  Had lunch today with our Lifestyle Group.  We are ramping up for fall and things to start.  Good food and great friends and as always... God is good and was there with all of us. Enjoy your Wednesday tomorrow. I have spent the rest of this day, morning until 11, and returning home at 2:30, up to now painting in my studio. I am 75% down with the...

Early Sunflowers

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Early Sunflowers Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   This Painting of Sunflowers is by far one of my favorite. It reminds me of my grandmother's farm in Florissant MO. I have written before describing the inner circle of flowers in the circular dirt drive. As a toddler most of the flowers were as tall as I was.  There was always a mist every morning at the farm when we woke up around 6 a.m.  Morning is always good! Genesis 19:27 "And Abraham went early in the morning to the place he had stood before the Lord. "   There are places in your heart and home that you have retreated to fall upon your knees and pray and cry out to the Lord. Our lives are all complicated and busy and things come up that we have to make hard decisions. What do you do, when you cannot decide on a direction? This verse in the Bible is referring to Abraham rising and looking in a dist...

Basic Love

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Fair Flowers Basic Love Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   The flowers in the vase are a photo of the "base of the painting" before I completed it.   Looking back there are really some impressionistic pieces that I could have stopped painting right here instead of moving all the way forward. I like the one above!!!     Acts 4:19-20 But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”   Nothing is better that sharing time with those that believe in the Lord. During crisis or travail, they know He walks with them. Through hungry times, cold winds, floods, He walks with them. Never give up... Turn to the Lord. I am sharing what have I lived through, not just seen and heard.  Our personal 'challenge' is still pulling us down. The Lord p...
