Family Heart, Contemporary Mixed Media Heart Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Family Heart 12 x 12 inches Mixed Media on Canvas. SOLD  This was a commissioned piece for early January that I have been working on.  It had a few progression shots, but I am trying to keep life a bit more simple and share things that I finish as I do them. This collage mixed media piece is filled with things that are important to this family including birthday's and thoughts. A family share life daily and nightly and these days of compiling energy and sharing are brought forth into a simple piece of art reminding them of their journey. "And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:"  1 Kings 9:4 Laurie Pace A Texas Artist   My Blog          My Website          Giclees on Canvas, Prints and Cards

Heart to Heart Beginnings, Mixed Media Heart Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Heart to Heart 5 Commissioned Painting  30 x 40 inches Mixed Media on Canvas. SOLD  I took a bit of time choosing the Bible pages to put down on the base foundation of this piece and on top of those woven across are pages from the Chronicles of Narnia. The basic premise here are three hearts representing three children, but my deep feel is to do five hearts to include the parents... so I am working with fives as this begins to unfold. There are five hearts in Narnia built on top of the Bible and there are five waves across the top of the composition and two on the left side and three on the right side. Again the Spirit begins to build and the painting takes on its own personality.  More about Baby John and his birth from Luke and the 'Spirit' that fills this newborn babe.  " And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High;     for you will go on befor

With it came cooler temps for the next two days.  That is a celebration.  Go figure but my mind is already counting down the next seven weeks until we get to the longest day of the year.  Why? Because I love the fall here in Texas and once we get there, I have but three months to make it till fall...and all the colors.  The seasons seem to flutter by quickly as I have gotten older.  The days really zoom by.  ' With being sick this last week, I lost five days and I wanted to share my thoughts and decisions that came with firm resolution after Easter Service with my parents.   Over that last w

Red Ribbon Lacing 20 x 30 inches  Mixed Media on Canvas Still in progress I think. I keep working on it and stepping back and working on it more. It reminds me of my niece.       Contact me if you are interested in Red Ribbon Lacing. Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2011 On the way to church yesterday we were hurtling down the back country roads viewing land around us still void of leaves with spring just beginning to arrive.  I noticed a house off to my right I had never seen before.  It was built facing to the sides so the front and back were not in view of the road. I could see a nice pond in the back and the house was high up from the pond with a beautiful deck. There were stairs down to the pond... LOTS of stairs.  The house was immaculate and so beautiful nestled in the cove of trees about 300 yards off the road in a slight valley.  Wonder who lives there? We turned onto Hwy 115 and there was a quaint soft blue frame house off to the left. It w

The low this morning is 15 degrees and the windchill is at zero. Pretty darn cold for us Texans. My thoughts are already turning to Lent coming up this month.  There are many things in our lives that limit us and how we think or what we do.  We cannot seem to get beyond the NO NOT ME. Many folks
