New York Koi Contemporary ART Palette Knife Daily Painting Koi by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 48 inches SOLD COMMISSION PAINTING contact me for work: Laurie I am truly late blogging, but have been here in front of the computer for an hour piling through emails. How so much mail clogs up every night I am not sure. Meanwhile I begin my list of what HAS to be done today as I plow through the email. My list is too long. It is enough to give anyone a headache. It is full of all the crossing the t's and dotting the i's and everything I did not do Monday or Tuesday. Do you have days like this? Well, my list is made and in front of me and I simply refuse to get too hyper about it. I just need to trust in God and take it on, one at a time. There are times in life we are overwhelmed by our job or our life situation. Despite our tense thoughts, God knows right where we are. You can be on track spiritually, but slowly become totally lost with your life situations. Still, He knows rig...
KOI by Laurie Justus Pace Canvas is 18 x 36 inches and it is framed in a gorgeous dark blue edged in gold. Needs a home! Contact me to Purchase: Laurie These are my Koi that were in my own private collection. I need to sell them because I have not place to hang them in our new house. I had them in my entry hall but they are not a large enough piece for the entry hall. This painting took honors in several art shows and was a headliner in my New York Show last year. The paint is close to 1/2 inch thick in many places. It is done in restful colors of greens and blues contrasted with the koi's gold and white. The custom frame by the Dutch Art Gallery was close to $200. Email me if you like them and shoot me a fair offer. Click here to email me. "I've Got Your Back." Those were the words out of my husbands mouth as we fell asleep last night pushed up against each other back to back, cold toes to cold toes. As I drifted into preslumber the words echoed in my mind. ...
FALL KOI ONE, Contemporary Art by Laurie Justus Pace 18 x 27 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas SOLD After a trip to the arboretum last weekend I came home with quite a few pictures to paint from. This is one of the koi that I took. GORGEOUS colors! Most of my koi are painted with blues and purples, this one is different in the cool greens of the pools at the arboretum. Today is a bit of painting this morning and then the house cleaning I did not finish yesterday. I did get the studio cleaned up though. Rachel came to visit from across the street while I was doing it. Sort of kept me on task too! I have been reading Louise Hay's new book "You can Heal your Life" . It has a remarkably simple view if one could keep focused on it. "Every moment of life is a new beginning point as we move from the old. This moment is a new point of beginning for me right here and right now. All is well in my world." Her first chapter is entitled "Life if Really Very Sim...

I painted these larger than normal on a 24 x 36 inch canvas. Contact me if you are interested in purchasing this painting. I am in a quandary as to my thought today to share. BUT since it is Labor Day I will stay with Daily Word's direction on the subject. So many folks are off to day on the holiday, my husband is off, but it is only because Monday's are his normal days off. In past posts I have touched on sharing your gifts, identifying them and using them! We enrich so many people in our lives when we do and God is smiling. Givi...
HEART TO HEART KOI 22 x 28 inches Oil on Canvas A Painting a Day Sunday morning and we have BOTH been up since four a.m. Terry got up and made coffee, grinding fresh beans, I had peppermint tea and mixed up a bowl of banana bread (homemade) and put it in loaf pan to bake and 45 minutes later we broke our fast with hot banana bread. YUMMM...we were watching the original Perry Mason movie in black and white. Actually pretty good. The koi were painted this past week and full of the lightness of the water. They are always a joy to paint! Had a request for odd sizes in koi...so watch for more! The name is because I see a heart forming in the water between these two koi. Terry is in the garage making boxes for shipping this week and I am sorting COA's and filling out fed ex forms. We have spent most of this week in Dallas with his Dad. I think he has found a retirement home. This is really good for him, it will be cleaner and healthier. There will be much work involved cleaning u...
COLOR OF KOI Three April 2007 Oil on Canvas 24 X 24 inches A Painting A Day. To purchase, Contact me. Laurie Pace Good Sunday Morning! Today is the BIG race at the Texas Motor Speedway. Usually it means I am not leaving the house, but I will try to make it out to a brunch for my youngest brothers birthday. As he is 11 years younger than I am, I love seeing him grow older! I painted myself out last night...actually yesterday, painting 13 straight hours with out food and not leaving the studio except to let the dogs out. It was cold outside yesterday and cloudy until late...so I cranked the music and worked with palettes I do not normally work with. You will see some of those paintings this week on the blog. The Koi were done three days ago and are full of light and color; it is painted with a palette knife! THICK PAINT. Seems like three is the number this week...I am doing a lot in threes. The thought today at daily word is remembering. Remembering those you love that are gone fro...
