Downhill Horse Painting Progress by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Downhill ... 24  x 30  inches Oil on Canvas.  All from some left over yellow paint came this unique horse painting, distinctively a Pace painting for sure.  I will allow it to hang today to see if I want to add or make changes tonight or tomorrow. More Painting to come today. I will try and snap some photos when it is all together.  I fixed some good healthy Mexican food this weekend.  Catch up on facebook where I link the recipe and show my pictures. We did not have a sweet potato, which is highly unusual, but I did have sweet potato fries and they worked I think even better. https://www.facebook.com/lauriejustuspace?ref=tn_tnmn   Look for the highlighted story that shows food on the table.  I love Forks over Knives and their recipes. This actually was satisfying and like comfort food, even better. If you are staying up with Visual Language Magazine, this week I w

TP has been busy beginning our painting process.  Many thanks to Lee Small of Lee Small Gallery in Ft Worth. She visited and walked through the house over three hours one morning as we bridged colors for the different rooms.  We have stayed with most of her color direction and if we did adjust one, we still stayed at a full dark value of the color.  Right now TP is painting the music room where my baby grand will be delivered on Wednesday... a mid grey ceiling and the walls will be dark dark dark.  I may have to do my own artwork for this room. Not sure what I have in my collections or even what I want in there.   Our decision with this house

They happen to all of us. Sharing a prayerful life that includes the needs of others.  We have to look beyond the temporary that surrounds us and focus on God's perfection... God's perfection for each of us. The power is among us and as we gather together that power is multiplied. This is the presence of Christ.  Honoring His presence in others and lifting them up.  No matter where you are today or what you are doing... stand in line and pray for others. At the next red light, pray for others. Every moment offers the opportunity to bless others and pray for them. You are enfolded in love... Words of my Heart, Laurie "I pray that... Christ

Immediately he feels he has done something wrong.  How did we get here? Does not seem like a healthy reaction, especially when I am not frowning. I have known him for 48 years of my life. I know him pretty well. How can you improve your current relationship?  I know as we talked last night I literally prayed before responding to some touchy things we were discussing.  I stayed quiet and sought oneness with the Father before replying. I did not want to speak out of emotions and not from my heart

Thoughts of God's touch creating so much beauty in our world, puts me in awe of His artistry.  As an artist, I feel so much responsibility to use my gift wisely and to allow Him to work through me as I am only a poor imitator of His dimensionally work.  Ladies at my summer workshop. Painting in my own style, expressing what is important to me using line, color, palette knife and movement, is primary to the success of the work. Success that He was apart of the making.  I can do nothing with out Him. Encouraging other artists to paint from the inside out is often hard. '

The road looms before us as our eyes dart around seeing what surrounds us, often being tempted to leave the road and explore. The 'lines' in society keep most of us moving in 'the direction' expected.  Crossing the lines is the sign of a rebel or a wanderer. 'Grand Canyon Trails' Abstract Equine Horse Art Painting by Laurie Pace

'Grand Canyon Trail' 24 x 30 x 2 inches Acrylic on Canvas Contact me to purchase: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace Graphics One Design 2009 The Painting : Second in the summer series of Equine Pieces 2009. I laugh now because I have to resort to acrylic more in the summer as the oils will not cure in our humidity. Takes forever to get them to a point to varnish and mail to the buyer. This was a study in composition using balance and color to pull you from the upper right to the lower left. My circle markings are the same used in the last summer series in 2008 and only used in my summer paintings. Call it a signature if you will. The Thought : I have a postnote on Ann Marcelyn Caver . Click her name for her website. You will see all the fascinating work of this gifted artist. The woman that wrote me from Canada of Ani's passing sent me a connection today from another blog. PLEASE take the moment to read this blog. Dr. Dwags Blawg . I believe it hurt even more to find o

" 1 Peter 5:9-10 The Painting: This is 30 x 30 Canvas and truly this size is one of my favorites to paint on. Terry hates boxing them! This painting looked totally different when it started. A Painting A Day ~ Chasing the Light ~ Horse Equine Painting by Laurie Justus Pace Chasing the Light 18 x 24 inches Acrylic on Canvas A Painting A Day: From the movement of paint and the turning of light, I often have to step back from my thought of creation to allow an inner freedom to work across the canvas. Working with both Golden Acrylics and Liqutex Acrylics , I revel in the intensity of color as these hues spirit across the canvas. Ridges of paint begin to carve out what is there that the eye has not seen yet. Confirmation from a few strokes brings it to the front.
