This is an incredibly strong horse painting that I did at my Lake Studio "Golden Pond Studio back in 2012. It began as a tree painting called "Rooted". (See Below) I love trees probably more than horses...but it was horses the Lord called me to paint for the past twenty five years.  I started and finished the trees on this 40 x 40 canvas, but something did not feel right...    I loved the branches and the green but the ground not so much.   The paint was oil and still wet in the morning and I spent till after lunch debating, and the Horse won.
