Falling into Winter Horse Herd Painting

Counting Backwards? © Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2026 Falling into Winter Herd Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Loving the Palette Knife and Addicted to Color The addiction to color is not limited to painting. It spreads to my clothing in my closet and my favorite rich colors through out our home.  This was triggered to look backwards when I saw a man created 5000 days of drawings etc and he ended up selling them for Millions. I look back to 2003 when I started painting daily and listing  paintings on ebay. by 2005 I was making over $100K a year.  I had fun with the paintings...and continued to list there selling paintings though early 2010.  Galleries from Jackson Hole to Denver picked my work up in  2008. I limited what I sold on ebay but continued because the bidding would usually exceed several thousand dollars.  Right place and right time! Going to clean out and sort one of my dressers...

Between the Lines

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Close up from  "Between the Lines" Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   The close-up above is a small section of a much larger work—a   3 x 4 ft painting built with layers of thick Holbein oils . Created in the tradition of my   Painted Pony Pulls , this was the last large piece I painted for Mirada Fine Art’s special exhibition in   February 2023 . Below, you’ll find the full painting. You can also view it on the gallery’s website at   miradafineart.com The pulls in this piece are especially   bold, thick, and intensely layered . The palette knife has always been where my heart lies as an artist. There’s something mesmerizing about working with rich, buttery Holbein oils—mixing, carving, and layering them into   ¼- to ½-inch deep pulls   down the canvas. The result is both tactile and visually lush. These works drip with color, and I s...

After the Afternoon Rains

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 After the Afternoon Rains Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Treasures of Color!  The Painted Ponies in small size back a few years.  I imagine them on a Florida beach!  These are created with Pulls of paint of many colors.  "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the L ord  your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 We have been working on the fireplace and still a bit more work to go. We were told we have a bad winter coming on.  I will wait and see.   They are predicting a winter like we had in 2013 and early 2014.  That was 13 inches of solid ice on all the roads. Deep snow on top of it.  Are you ready for winter?  I cannot believe Thanksgiving is upon us! I am not ready for that either. Are you? Elle Shop other Available Artwork.  Follow the...

Spring Meeting - Beautiful Brilliant Horse Painting by Laurie Pace

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Spring Meeting Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   The beautiful horses in this painting are out in the spring sun in Texas, although, it is really still February! It is near 80 degrees outside and last week we were down at 2 degrees. The whimsical bright colors and the brilliant sky make each horse stand strong in position at the stream they stopped to drink. True heavy palette knife with very thick strokes of paint.   My painted ponies are alive with color and wide knife strokes!  Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." Building confidence in God as I let go of worries and decisions that are truly not mine to deal with.  Do you find that in life, that you are always trying to be helpful with ideas for others and for yourself?  God knows what is best! I can do all things through Him....

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Painted Ponies Spring Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace    Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through him who gives me strength. Good morning. ..  We have just a few hours before COLD arrives again here in North Texas. By Wed temps will be below freezing at night and close to zero or below for a 'feels like'.  We have loaded the bird feeders and will keep an eye on them. We had close to fifty birds earlier snacking away at our full feeders. Cardinals, Robins, and a red breasted small bird I need to look up... also doves and few tiny black baby birds.  The painting today is one from 2014 I believe... With the well known marked of color and light making this more of an evening herd than a morning herd. These are my known Painted ponies... aka the pulled paint that makes them special, my abstract horse paintings!  We are special to God. He has a pur...

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Rights of Spring Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Monday Monday.... Just love this day! . .. Today I will be shipping off four days of the Days of Christmas 1-4. Today's winner for day 4 is S Dorsey from the state of Texas! Congratulations!  I think I have the perfect fun thing coming your way! The  painting above is a favorite. This is when painting was fun, things were selling and I could not paint fast enough. Not sure what has happened to the freedom and the joy in this world right now, but I am going to continue painting a bit longer! At least I have thoughts to direction.  THAT is a beginning!!  I am also ordering a new smaller easel for my studio then the big Santa Fe 2 I had in here. It became frustrating to move it around.  Hubby has my lights set up and I am thinking this will work! Meanwhile... I am painting it forward! Romans 8:28 ...

Horses Gathering at Sunrise

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 The Painted Ponies Gathering Three Sunrise Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Each of my painted ponies has a different approach or flair. This is fresh like spring for me and lots of sunlight.  I mentioned yesterday I wanted to share about something that happened Saturday.  We were on our way to our grandson's baseball game and the sky was a beautiful blue and just a handful of clouds. I glanced up and was mesmerized by the clouds and the back lighting and contrast in several of them that were gathered together. Light playfully filtered through. I felt instant joy.  Let me type that again, I felt instant JOY.   We know God gives us challenges. We know He walks before us... with us... and guards behind us . That and only that has sustained us through the last two years marked beginning Oct 5, 2022.  From Oct to the end of Dec was a journey I care ne...
