Rooted in Texas Tree Landscape Painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Rooted in Texas by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace 40 x 40 inches of Thick Oil and Color Tree Landscape Painting, Texas Oaks by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace I went into the studio yesterday intending to do horses but this came out instead. Colorful and slightly Fauvistic in nature, but true to nature in colors, shadows and light. Sold      ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011       Eat Your Vegetables A command that still lingers in my head from childhood. Or ...remember the starving children in the world. As an artist/mom I would make sure the plate I put before my children was colorful. I had one that would not eat eggs. There was one that would not eat corn or mashed potatoes. Finally there was one that ate everything. He is that way in life too...he has to try everything, the good and the bad.     CLICK HERE TO READ MORE> My Blog    My Website     Giclees on Canvas, Prints and Cards      The Five Graces     The Artists of Texa

Study of Trees Landscape Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Study of Trees  SOLD Thank you Ugallery! 5 x 7 Oil on Canvas Tree Painting in Brilliant colors.  ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011 Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      Times they are a Changing....   Well this weekend marked several important moments. One was Jon's 14th birthday and the other was Lady L learning to make those pedals go around on her bicycle. Wahoo the princess is loose in the house on her wheels now and you better watch out. The more she goes in circles around the living room and kitchen the more daring she is. We bought this bike for her a few months ago and although she could reach the pedals, she could not get enough pressure on them to get the idea of pushing and pedaling...until Saturday.   Mom and Dad are really good about no riding with out the helmet.  She wears it constantly like a mini biker. On our way to Jonathan's birthday we passed a group of riders all with their helmets
PEACE IN THE FOREST Landscape Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 36 inches of Oil on Canvas Contact me for pricing and mention the title of the painting. Laurie Behind before the day starts! It is almost seven and I am not even ready to paint. Am waiting to get there though! This is a painting that has been in my heart for a while and yesterday I was finally able to get it to the canvas. It is a bit different, but Sometimes you have to take a chance and explore other things in life. This weekend is the Chili cookoff with our Sunday School Class. Terry is making his personal chili that is always good. I am trekking off trying something out of the box. Hawaiian Chili. The folks as Whole Foods laughed at me. Chili does not come from Hawaii. I know that, but I wanted different flavors and decided in the beginning I wanted to use Ginger and Pineapple in my chili and began researching recipes to blend with my recipe. Mine does have Chicken in it, which seems really different, so we will
AND BEYOND Tree Landscape by Laurie Justus Pace 18 x 24 inches SOLD Oops, almost went to bed with out blogging today! It has been a full day and not time to describe anything. I am a fan of Brothers and Sisters and it starts in 15 min! We so enjoyed church today and Jack Van Vessems wonderful class. The inspiration today from both Brother Dan's sermon and Jack's class left me full of spirit, thought and prayer. Promise more tomorrow! Grace, Laurie "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow , for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
CAN'T SEE THE FOREST BECAUSE OF THE TREES Landscape in Oil by Laurie Justus Pace 15 x 30 inches SOLD Yesterday was a blessed day of no stress. I have not had one of these plateau days in eons! Both Terry and I dropped to knees at bedtime and gave thanks. I had agreed once I blogged before Church, no computer till after six and no work in the studio. WOW. We were at 8:30 services at Eastridge Christian and then Sunday School following. Jack VanVessem was wonderful and totally on track as we continued investigating the phrase "Being Reborn of the Water and The Spirit." Then Charlene sent me the following after I shared the lesson with her: O ne Child Baptizing Another After a hardy rainstorm filled all the potholes in the streets and alleys, a young mother watched her two little boys playing in the puddle through her kitchen window. The older of the two, a five year old, grabbed his sibling by the back of his head and shoved his face into the water hole. As the boy re
JOINED AT THE HIP Landscape Painting by Laurie Justus Pace SOLD $750 18 x 27 inches Contact me for similar commission work! Laurie (Gee, I dream about a long painting of trees like this 24 x 48 inches in length....) The last two years in the summer I have done trees and I guess I am back doing a few again. As I was laying in bed last night with my sketchbook in hand I was sketching out trees everywhere. In my mind I see this large painting 24 x 48 inches with these heavy oak trees going across... you would feel like munchkin in the midst of it as you view it. May have to do it anyway. This painting went out in one of my few mailers to top collectors and went with in hours. They have a painting called "the other side of the world" which had a unique touch similar to this and had a good feel to mix the two in the room...or that is what she said when she phoned. Terry is home today and we are off to church in just a few moments. More of the wonderful Jack Van Vessem Sunda
