As I write reflecting on the week, there was a forest fire across the lake from us on Friday afternoon and evening. It was contained by midnight and when we awoke on Saturday a steady rain drenched our county for many hours. My painting friend Ann Morgan was evacuated from her home on Friday evening and stayed here in Tall Tree with our neighbors. The colors are so rich with the deep sunset it just became Regal Leo. Leo like the lion with the thick mane...just like this Leo. There are over 25 layers of paint on this mane.  Only in Holbein Duo oils and only in my signature style.
