As I write reflecting on the week, there was a forest fire across the lake from us on Friday afternoon and evening. It was contained by midnight and when we awoke on Saturday a steady rain drenched our county for many hours. My painting friend Ann Morgan was evacuated from her home on Friday evening and stayed here in Tall Tree with our neighbors. I can't imagine a time better to pray out of 'afraid' with something this huge wall of fire closing in on you. Ann only had a few moments to take what was the most precious.
