As I write reflecting on the week, there was a forest fire across the lake from us on Friday afternoon and evening. It was contained by midnight and when we awoke on Saturday a steady rain drenched our county for many hours. My painting friend Ann Morgan was evacuated from her home on Friday evening and stayed here in Tall Tree with our neighbors. I can't imagine a time better to pray out of 'afraid' with something this huge wall of fire closing in on you.  Ann only had a few moments to take what was the most precious. She laughed saying she grabbed her pillow first and her dog second. She did get some clothes and her laptop and some important papers and her jewelry...and then

The colors are so rich with the deep sunset it just became Regal Leo. Leo like the lion with the thick mane...just like this Leo. There are over 25 layers of paint on this mane.  Only in Holbein Duo oils and only in my signature style. The Thought:   Well, turkey day has gone but the left overs are in the fridge .  We were blessed with our day at Stacey's.  Crystal woke up feeling much better (Thank you Target Pharmacist for your recommendations.)  She didn't mingle with family so closely but did enjoy playing video games with Jon and watching the UPS movie.  I have not seen it yet... maybe this weekend. Larry out did himself with cooking. Stacey was the pastry chef with 7 or 8 pies...yum, some of those
