It has slipped into darkness with a cold wind out of the north.  Good food and great company made the day seem fuller.  Terry cooked up the black eyed peas and I made black bean meatballs and mashed potatoes.  It was delicious with cold slaw and cornbread! Yesterday I traveled with my brother Kirk and my Mom up to Bonham to see Dad at the VA Home. We left Dallas after a stop at Starbucks where Kirk had a REDEYE?? and I had one of their normally yummie bowls of oatmeal. This time it was disappointing and very runny. I didn't waste but one remark because I knew a good lunch was ahead! Dad didn't recognize me at all when we arrived. He was sitting in the lobby with several other patients watching television. We were debating between walking the mall in Sherman TX about 25 miles east, or going up to Denison to the new Main Street Arts District. I was glad when my brother turned northeast to Denison. The town wasn't what I remembered but I could see that the downtown area had undergone a transformation and indeed was filled with several
