Here below is the older original. You can see they wanted more pink in the new one. I thought the older one had more gold and brown tones. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  I was contacted by a couple in Florida to paint a magnolia painting "JUST LIKE" one I painted ten years ago.  I do not know about you, but I am not in the same place I was ten years ago.  I think of it as asking a 16 year old to write like they did at age 6.  An artist progresses with style development and it just does not stay the same. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  This week I am finishing up a commissioned magnolia painting. The couple found one of my old paintings and wanted me to duplicate it. Not easy of course!  But this is one I did probably prior to 2006.  Most of my mags were done 2004-2006.  They are such a peaceful flower. My mom and dad had a huge magnolia tree in their front yard. It was easy to take pictures of the blooms and then paint them. I love to infuse colors throughout the petals. This is the best way to spot my magnolia paintings.
