I will probably do a similar follow up piece and I loved moving the paint around on the canvas. The Thought:   Someone once ask me how long it took to complete a particular painting.   My reply was one shared with me by fellow artist Diane Whitehead.... my reply was simply, "It took 57 years."  That is how old I am, and truly that is how long it took to do this particular painting.  Diane was correct as it takes every experience in our lives to get where we are at this second.  So as the year 2009 comes to a close this evening , I look back at a year of so many blessings I cannot count them.  Change alone is a blessing if you look at it that way.  Change...

Laurie    © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2009 The Painting :  Once in awhile I get this driving urge to paint with REDS.    This is a deep dark rich red almost like the red on the new Dodge products my husband drools over.  I extended it with Indian Yellow as my base and from there begin to develop this composition.  Latex Heavy Acrylics are the medium and the canvas is Frederix Red Label. QUICK POSTING ADDITION:  Interest Rates have dropped again. Our daughter locked in at 4.5 percent to refi her house.  I have two sons in the mortgage business that are doing her loan and are finishing up our refi.  This is the best time to do it and either move to a 15 year or refi at lower rates.
