Into the Light

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Into The Light 2019 Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Into the Light is a horse painting that ended up living at home in Austin. It was in a show at Mirada Fine Art in Denver, and after I brought it home I spiced it up a bit and it sold!  I think it was 30 x 40. Looks like the Texas skies we have had for the last two weeks of wicked dark blue clouds spinning storms and tornadoes in both Texas and Oklahoma and on to the east.  Mark 11:22 "And Jesus answered saying to them, “Have faith in God." A simple verse above and shared to Jesus' first disciples. It is now given to you through His word ... actually given to all Jesus' true followers till the end of the world. We are called to have steadfast faith in our Father. With faith comes full trust. When we are confronted with tests and temptations in life, we trust knowing God will fulfill all his declarations and pro...

In my pea brain I am thinking I will wait until morning and research things for women and faith, for weakness, for loss etc  but that did not happen. What happened...

At the Ocean Painting by Laurie Pace, The Essential Water and the Essential Faith

I love any type of water...  rain, rivers, ponds, lakes, the ocean... even sitting by a waterfall.  When we lived at the lake, my studio was about twenty feet across the back of the house overlooking both a 5 acre catfish pond and the main lake was to my left where I watched the sunset every evening. It was heavenly!! The negative part was constant water moccasins and copperheads. You had to be on watch where ever you stepped!  We all know the Bible is rich with powerful symbolism. Especially those snakes.  The one symbol that is important to me personally, is water. It represents faith, salvation, and provision, reminding me of its importance in both our physi...

A child is like an early spring bulb that carries all the resources needed within its skin for the first push through the soil towards the sun. And just as a little bit of water can start the bulb to grow, even through fissured rock, so can a little kindness give a child the ability to push through the dark .”     Kathleen Kent Having faith in a crisis is a good thing.  But it is something that must be grown and  cultivated with a confidence in God at all times , not just in times of crisis. It is important to be in a relationship with Go...

We are in the midst of the third week of Advent and Terry and I are enjoying reading our advent study each morning and in the evening we have been studying the book of Mark and how his gospel compares to the other ones.  This evening study prompted us with some tough questions to answer in our lives looking back .  First it asked the simple question of what it meant to 'follow' someone.  In today's w...
