Fun. Fun.  Happy smiles is what reflects to me off this painting. I wish I could paint like this all the time... wait a minute, I CAN! I can paint like this anytime I want to. I am not limited.  From the Illusions books :   “if you argue for your limitations they are yours” ― Richard Bach, Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah  And WHY do we limit ourselves so much?  Why do we buy into things from our subconscious that simply are not true. Why do we feel so inadequate?   From   the Illusions book :  “You are never given a

Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website   Giclees on Canvas, Prints and Cards This is my new table top easel to keep by the fireplace.  I did these on Sunday evening.  Yesterday was a warmer day in the sixties and I was busy cleaning out the studio and made quite a dent. We also took books into the library to donate them.   I will be experimenting on some smaller paintings as we will be traveling again in the spring and summer and I want to take acrylics and this easel with me to use as we go.  Open your minds right now and think of things to allow into your life.  Take a risk for the positive even if it seems unreachable or unfamiliar.   It is time this year to take out some index cards, at least ten of them and on five of them write down one thing on each card that you NEED.  Then write on the other five cards one thi
WOLVES ~ Impressions of Wildlife by Laurie Justus Pace 30 x 30 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Earth Works Art Gallery $2400 SOLD this weekend! Well today I will take down the Christmas tree and pack away all the decorations. Terry is stuck making boxes and preparing the shipping stuff. THEN I want to paint a bit. Morgan has his teaching interview today and I need all positive thoughts and energy his way as he has a huge head cold that arrived yesterday! Nothing like being sick with flu symptoms and a cold and going on a life turning job interview. The Will of God never places us where the Grace of God cannot keep us. I know I phrased it a bit off, but you know what I mean. He pushes us so that we grow and become stronger with our faith and our journey in this life. Short entry today, and late as well, but much is calling my attention. Terry is still asleep in bed and it is after eight. We went to bed at nine last night, so he should be caught up by now. We will see how far w
Buffalo Pull ~ Wildlife Art by Laurie Justus Pace 22 x 28 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Art for the Home SOLD It is early. Terry was not sleeping well and woke me at three....so now it is almost four thirty and he is snoring away and I am wide awake. Figure it was a good time to blog. He worked physically too hard yesterday moving heavy refrigeration equipment at his dad's house. I am concerned he has hurt himself. The house is under contract and we have but 11 days to finish cleaning out the remainder of the garage. Our second concern is his dad working over there too much as well. I believe Terry is way over tired. This is a buffalo pull with oils. Painted from pictures I took this summer. Painted with the same patterns of pulling the paint and finding what flows from the set up. Somehow that seems to be life as well...so much happening and pulling around us and since we have such little control, we have to make life out of what is around us. There are sea
Wyoming Moose ~ Wild Life Art by Laurie Justus Pace 18 x 24 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Art for your Home. SOLD SOLD SOLD This moose is for Tom in Wyoming. He is the one that sent the list that brought on the Mountain Goat yesterday. Moose was number three on the list. I have not painted number two yet. Goat was number one. Hesitant because I have only painted three moose in my career...I stepped out and hit it with the same way I would a horse and I hope it worked. Well, my father in law's home has contract offers. We will be packing to ship early this morning and then hitting the road to get in to Dallas to do paperwork with him. Then tomorrow we will be back to finish or hopefully finish cleaning out the garage. My poor husband still has a huge task in front of him with that. His brother Howard was over there on Sunday digging out a path just to get in the garage. If you live in Dallas or Fort Worth and need any of the following email me by this afte
MOUNTAIN GOAT ~ Wildlife Art by Laurie Justus Pace 18 x 24 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Art for the Home SOLD SOLD SOLD It is Sunday morning. I will NOT be painting today...at least it is not in the plans! I worked from four thirty a.m. yesterday until almost five last night. That was enough for me. Morgan came over and painted yesterday. He posted his work on artbyus.com and had it sold for the BUY IT NOW price in less than twenty minutes. Gee, mine don't go that fast! LOL The painting.... Tom from Wyoming, one of my collectors sent me a list of things he wanted to see me paint and this was the first one I tried....my Mountain Goat. I had such a joy painting him! He is climbing, one leg extended upward on a rock...full beard and lots of color filling in the white coat. Enjoy. This painting is available...just email me. We ate late last night up in Ponder. We had run to Penney's to do an exchange and then were going to eat...they were packed and
CALL OF THE NIGHT ~ Wolves, Wildlife Art by Laurie Justus Pace 30 x 30 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Fine Art for your Home Saturday early morning finds me blogging before the household wakes up. Terry is still asleep for the next hour and then he will be up and heading to work. Today I will be preparing food for Tom's birthday celebration where we will gather and eat later. I made a pasta salad last night and probably today will make a brown rice and sausage dish. This painting is the third in my WOLVES of the NIGHT Series. Reminds me of my two dogs, Annie and Paddy. I used a wide paint brush on this one with the same colors I used in the first two pieces. Harrison bought the first painting and I had to wait to ship it to him until he made it to their second home in California. He should have received it yesterday. I am anxious to know his thoughts. Niki bought the second one and she saw it Tuesday before she headed to NY to the Dog Shows with her little Ti
White Tail Buck 2 ~ Deer, Wildlife Art by Laurie Justus Pace 22 x 28 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Art for your Home. I decided since the last white tailed buck I painted sold off the blog, I would do another. This one has more intense colors and thicker paint if that is possible. Today is Thursday and that is my teaching day. This morning I will be preparing for my lessons and working on commission work. I have painted ponies to create, Lord willing! Also will be working on another nude, at least getting it started. I sketched it out last night on the floor, the canvas is 24 x 36. Have to paint my sides on the 48 X 72 inch Bevo as well, so it will be a full day already. When I struggled awake this morning the news was already blaring from the TV and Terry was up half dressed. I normally wake up easily and I was in a deep sleep and probably had the TV not been on would have slept through him leaving. I am one of those wives that gets up to prepare his breakfast an
