That place is God. People, even those close to us, cannot carry the full weight of our hopes, healing, and identity. They are imperfect, limited, and shaped by their own struggles. So often, we direct our lives into things that promise fulfillment, stability, or meaning, only to discover they cannot hold the weight of our pain. Brokenness shows itself in many ways—quietly in the heart, and visibly in the world around us. Homelessness is real. Mental illness is real. And it can happen to any of us. Every day we pass people sleeping under bridges, in doorways, or wherever they can find a place to rest their head. They endure the cold of winter and the heat of summer, unseen by many and misunderstood by most.
