Where is the forest? I only see the trees . . . Tree painting by Laurie Pace, Texas Artist

It is an expression of someone who is too involved in the details of a problem to look at the situation as a whole.  Just think about your life.  I know I focus on everything in my day and always weighing my decisions on different outcomes I might chose. I have to stop myself and remind myself that GOD made these forests.... all the details...  but each little tree tends to side track me and I miss the overall situation stuck on small details. Do you do this in your life? Psalm 33:10  "May he

Palette Knife Tree Painting by Laurie Justus Pace

Palette Knife Tree SOLD I have decided to do some more of my palette knife trees. This is one I did about two years ago. I have this need to photograph trees in the winter when they are bare.  It is revealing in strength to me to see them with out their crown of leaves.  I have many photos to work from and will be sketching them out one by one. Paintings of Trees 18 x 27 inches  Oil on Canvas     Copyright Laurie Pace 2009      Carol Ani Caver 1952-2009 Weary with Life I am on a borrowed computer and do not type well on this keyboard so this is painful to even type, but my mind has wrapped around several thoughts that I want to express but again not sure of direction until the words come through my fingers. Trust this will show up in words to follow in the next week or so as Terry and I are reading a new book together on worry.  I guess I have heard it over and over that worry is a sin, but some where on a plane in my bran I must think my worry doesn't count. It is justi

'Garden Tree' Landscape Tree Abstract Painting by Laurie Pace

'Garden Tree' 18 x 27 inches Acrylic on Canvas Contact me to purchase: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace Graphics One Design 2009 The Painting : There was a feeling of change as I worked on this composition. It rolled several directions before the image began to form on the canvas. This day I was not "horsing" around. The color patterns are mystical and both soft and strong at the same time. Change is that way in our lives...ever so subtle at moments and WHAM very obvious at other times. The Thought : Well, I almost had the thought above....it was a different day for painting as this emerged and I can't wait to see wait today will bring. Each new day should be like opening a present. Eagerly waiting for each moment as it comes with new opportunities. Note I didn't say new things waiting for you... nothing waits for you. You have to act in positive way to open yourself to new opportunities. If there is not room for change in your life, there will be no

'Morning Blaze' Fall Landscape Trees by Laurie Justus Pace

'Morning Blaze' 18 x 27 inches Oil on Canvas SOLD Contact me for Commission Work: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace Graphics One Design 2005 The Painting: Another Oldie but Goodie. I went through a landscape phase in 2005 and truly enjoyed painting them. Brilliant warm colors contrast with the oncoming winter sky of soft blues and violets. The Thought: Setting positive examples for our children and grandchildren is a top priority at our house. Your actions speak louder than your words at all times so it is necessary to beware of what you are doing. Jesus set a fine example when he wanted to show His love for His disciples. He took off His robe, wrapped a towel around His waist and then He began washing His disciples' feet. This was not normal for then and it is not normal now. In this day, the slaves were the ones that washed your feet. It is considered an act of servant hood. By Jesus doing this, His actions symbolized His sacrifice and love for man. As He washe
