Fear seems to be the thing that holds us back from enjoying our life or trying new things. Fear keeps some of us on the run. Terry has always said fear controls nations. Fear controls people in masses.  Post Game Mayhem Kentucky Let's face it, fear controls individuals daily. We empower others to control us ...

They have sleet this morning.  We survived a mean game of Monopoly that Terry won, and wonderful Ribs in beef and pork that Justin made and grilled veggies... of which th sweet potatoes were my favorite.  I made a huge salad. "Rehab" Boy and Dog Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'Rehab' 9 x 12  Oil on Canvas I had a request to repaint this subject. I had done the original several years ago and it lives in Oklahoma.  A movie director had contacted me for use of the image so I painted another one very similar for them to use the image to make a puzzle out of it for a movie being made. This new original painting is available to purchase. Contact me to purchase by check or paypal. Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website     I received my email from Neale Donald Walsh yesterday on the "continuation day".   That is the day you die... the continuation to the next journey where you are embraced by all of those who have gone before you.  When you think about it, people are born and die daily.  We all have to do it...be born and die. Life is a continuation and death is just part of that continuation. I do believe this message came to us at the perfect time.  We k...

Zoe's Ponies Signature Painted Pony Pull Commissioned equine Horse Art Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'Zoe's Ponies' 18 x 24  Oil on Canvas SOLD Contact me for commission work. Laurie    © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website     Painted Ponies    Another long day yesterday. Five hours at the funeral home.  Then lunch and more packing and clearing out.  It was seven last night before we arrived home and we were bushed. Found out yesterday that the grandbaby has the chicken pox.  I am waiting for pictures.  Stace thinks it is a light case as she just had the shot for chicken pox a week ago.  Most of her pox are on her body, not her face or arms.  We are hoping she doesn't understand about scratching yet. There are many irritants in life... all of our lives.  How we react to those irritants matters.  Things can really itch and we can scratch away at the bothersome itch.  What happens next? Infection.  Our nails are always carrying dirt o...

Laurie     © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website   www.CFAIntl.com I read somewhere in the past few days that making the right decision is not always the easy decision and often not the decision we want to make. I don't think I have written about this, but I have meditated over it for several weeks. I think it was in a fictional book by Lauraine Snelling. "Ellie" I have most of her books and am rereading this summer the entire series. Silly example of 'curbing' ones need to do what one wants to do instead of what one should do, was last night.  The surveyor was here helping us find our missing stake to mark the southwest boundary of our land.  I was really wanting to walk along and watch as they found the markers and ran the line.  I have this huge desire to learn about new things... OR is it I just want to be ...

Laurie    © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website     Painted Ponies      On Golden Pond Blog Yesterday I first heard from Judy Mackey in Southlake, Texas.... "It is raining here." I replied, "Short hard rain, or long slow rain?" She answered back, "Looks like on and off rainy day maybe, lots of dark clouds." About an hour later Debbie Lincoln phoned from Morgan Mill, west of Southlake... "Hey it's cooler here..." I replied, "How cool is cooler?" She answered back, "It is only 97 degrees outside." Lord, Please it is time to release us from this heat wave. The entire month of August has been 100 degrees or more.  My day yesterday was a catch up day anyway.  I continued to remind myself to give Thanks for all my blessings, including the 'redos' popping up in my life.  Do ...

Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website   Painted Ponies       On Golden Pond Blog Starting the week right... yesterday I clean up and out all the cabinets in the kitchen and then I attacked my closet.   I can't believe how much stuff I had in there. I definitely did away with a chunk of it and reorganized the rest. I have many more winter clothes than summer clothes. Yeah, I know winter clothes take up more room. I am up early and we are heading into Dallas. We have been sailing this weekend and enjoying the last days of August. The wind was not cooperative yesterday... it was too calm to sail.  Makes me shudder when I think of the calm before the storm.  Eventually it has to rain again and the temps have to drop under 100 degrees. We went swimming at Pau...
