The Light Within, is one of my painted pony pulls and I rarely do them.  But I did do this one today!   There is a tale of the Painted Ponies from Golden Pond Studio aka Elle Pace Studio. Back in 2006 a nude was turned into a field of ponies coming straight at you. That is when the story began of those painted pony pulls. There is only one available in large size and it is posted on my website but is at Mirada Fine Art. This is a small one. Left over paint which led to adding more paint and presto over the afternoon hours, The Light Within was born. This is the most collected of all my styles. The second most collected in the upper market 10-22K, is the Good People Story and there is one left of that style on the website as well, 60 x 90 inches. This sw

Blue Reflections Horse Paintings, Pulled Painted Ponies by Laurie Justus Pace

Other Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  It is time to think about spring painting for new pieces for different galleries. This particular piece will travel to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to be at the Rare Gallery.  They have represented my work since 2007.  They requested a painted pony pull (above) a large wolf and maybe a second painted pony pull and a buffalo painting.  I chose this quiet color palette of blues, purples and violets to be in contrast of my normally wild colors that seem to cover the spectrum. When Stacey, my daughter, said it was a thumbs up, I knew it was good as gold! So I sent the image up the Rare and they loved it. Meanwhile on the home front... Paddy got a hair cut today.  I do not even recognize my own dog.  Terry tired out toward the
'Herd on the Hudson' 24 x 36  Oil on Canvas This is a painting going to New York this summer. I was invited to be apart of a large equine art show in upper state NY outside Albany. They caught me unexpectedly as I did not submit work to them, they phoned me and asked for artwork and then allowed me extra time to finish a gorgeous piece for the show. I am honored as I believe strongly in giving all we can to those in need.   It is the 2010 HITS - on- the-Hudson Equestrian Art Exhibition and Auction The painting is at the Dutch Art Gallery being framed and I will ship it shortly to NY to the show. The Thought:   In my dream, he was standing beside me... my husband.  I am not sure what we were doing but we were working very hard and we were working together.  When I turned around I felt the Spirit surrounding me, but there was no one behind me.  As I turned back to the front...there was Jesus, working in front of us, preparing the way.    For the life of me I cannot remember what we were doing, but we were working hard moving branches and clearing a path. There are many forces in this world I would consider negative in nature, always popping up in situations when you leas

'The Herd of Carousel Horses' Painted Pony Pulls Horse Art by Laurie Justus Pace

'The Herd of Carousel Horses' 24 x 36 inches Acrylic on Canvas SOLD before I posted it to the blog. Contact me for commission work: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace Graphics One Design 2009 The Painting: Painted pulls in Acrylic are not quite the same as the oils. The oils have the viscosity of soft blends of hues as they pull. The acrylics blend but in a more controlled way. Interesting to study the difference between the mediums. The Thought : I received my final adjusted contract today with Brightco Companies . They are using some of my horses on their glass wear cases etc. I am sooo pleased with their product and use the samples myself. They are just launching their lines right now, but if you want any of these, you need to contact them. I may have to take my own pictures for you later this week... They do not do them justice on the website! BUT back to the contract... as I opened it up the top line said: "AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN GOD AND BRIGHTCO PR

"Party of Seven" Painted Pony Pulls Horse Painting by Laurie Pace

"Party of Seven" 18 x 27 inches Acrylic on Canvas SOLD! Thank you. Contact me to purchase: Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace Graphics One Design 2009 “ I am acting with great boldness toward you; I have great pride in you; I am filled with comfort. In all our affliction, I am overflowing with Joy ." 2 Corinthians 7:4 The Painting: Golden Acrylics and Liquitex Acrylics were on the palette as I began this pull. 97 percent of my pulls are in Oil, so an acrylic one is rare. The paint does not respond in the same manner, but I am able to double up on my layers and the dimensional aspect of the subject. The Thought : I've got the Joy Joy Joy Joy down in my heart....that is a line from a song I sang with my children as they were growing up. What is joy to you? For my youngest son, joy should be every day having fun and living life. To my oldest son, joy is his buddies and time with that World Warfare game. To my daughter, joy seems to be getting everything done. Findi

" 2 Thessalonians 1:11 A Painting a Day: This is one of my collected painted pony pulls. This is an exclusive style that I developed in 2005, which is a story in itself. If you ever buy one I might share the story! This is a painting created in layers, MANY LAYERS. It takes lots of paint, patience and trial and error. The effect reminds me of shimmering heat, the kind of heat we have in Texas. My Thought for the Day: Time to climb out of our boxes today. If we can do that... my imagery is with a ladder because I am so deeply down in this box. By stepping out of our comfort zone and our "self" zone, we can then begin to serve others. God embraces us daily in our walk, and today is a
