Breaking Light begins on Canvas, Contemporary Horse Paintings by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Breaking Light     © +Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2014  Size: 30 x 40  Oil on Canvas. Sold Commissioned Painting Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  The beginnings of a commissioned painting, and always with the foundation of words that means something to the collector. They found a painting I did about two years ago and fell in love with the colors and this will be a slightly smaller version of that painting with the colors needed for their room. There are enough changes in the composition of this contemporary horse painting that it will stand on its own when completed. “Meaningless! Meaningless!”     says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless!     Everything is meaningless.” Ecclesiastes 1:2 Read more as this is so socked full of meaning in our today world of too busy to breath or find time to be with God.  #horsepainting  #lauriepaceart  #equineart Laurie Pace A Texas Artist   Subscribe to my studio u

Contemporary Horse Paintings Journey by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Journey   Oil on Canvas. SOLD Commission 2012  This was a beauty that went to live in Australia.  Sometimes I want to negotiate visiting rights with my paintings... and this one I would love to go visit.  This contemporary Horse painting began with a blue layer of acrylic paint and the overlay of oils came next. We all need a good foundation in life to have a positive overlay of experiences.  Trust in God with all your heart and  do not rely on your own insight.   He is your foundation and Jesus is your cornerstone.  Laurie Pace A Texas Artist Golden Pond Studio My Blog          My Website          Giclees on Canvas, Prints and Cards          CFAI.co      GALLERY LINKS Mirada Fine Art Denver CO ,   The Rare Gallery Jackson Hole WY   The White Dog Gallery Carbondale, CO. Arabians in the Desert Progression Horse Painting By A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Progression on Horse Painting Arabians in the Desert 24 x 48 inches Oil on Canvas   ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012 Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      Live with Joy Sometimes you simply have to write things down to accept them. Seeing it written on paper makes everything seem more official. I think that is why my Dad always had us making lists.   Write it down... I LIVE IN JOY. You have the ability to do this. You do not have to wait for something or someone to change... YOU CHANGE.  You live in joy.  Choose to be joyful right now as you read this. Now that you have written the words down... read it out loud. Read it again. I live in Joy.  Are you smiling yet? Just speaking it out begins to lift your smile and your mood. Give the joy to others today. The more you give out, the more joy you will have inside of you. Feel the joy of God, share the joy of God.   Choo

Progression Horse Painting You Raise Me Up by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Progression on You Raise Me Up This is where music spiritual takes me with my focus on the Holy Spirit within me. From here the power of this horse painting is born.   ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011 Contact me for your own commissioned : Laurie      Waiting for the Moment I heard my grandmother tell me all the time, "Watched pots do not boil." My husband tells me a savvy marksman does not waste ammunition... he waits for the right shot. It is for the maximum effect... to wait and strike when the time is right. Many of us get up in the morning with our brains on overdrive for the day and a list of things to accomplish. Despite our well laid intentions, we never hit the mark one hundred percent.  We are pushing our limits and not hitting the mark. Wait upon the Lord. You are far more important to Him to use up your talents and time wastefully running in circles.  You literally make too much work for yourself when you d

Progression on Zappa, Horse and Woman painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Progression on the lady and her love! Carrying on with this painting..more layering but much to go. These paintings are truly a labor of love.  The plan was to capture the spirit of love between the woman and her horse. Hopefully I am on my way there. Sometimes I hold my breath while I am painting...just waiting and watching.      Winding Stairs I have to go backwards to those Winding Stairs and twisty roads.  Just look at this picture again: Now think about your life.  When I was double checking my blog yesterday before posting it, I realized there was a whole different direction to go with the 'journey' of my blog.  Watching for a second in my mind, the highway on this image... making its way uphill curving and twisting as it goes, it is just like our lives. I am sure the Father's plan for us is a bit less twisty and every time we take off bent to control and go our ways, we are putting in those huge 180 degree curves.  When you stray in your life away from

'Tommy' Commissioned Equine Horse Contemporary Oil Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'Tommy' 24 x 24  Oil on Canvas COMMISSIONED PAINTING SOLD Contact me to purchase by check or paypal. Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting: This painting is for Christine in the UK...her sweet Tommy. The Thought: Christine wrote me and ask me to paint Tommy. She sent quite a few photos for me to see how lovely this sweet gelding is. Christine wrote me that Tommy is a 14.1hh piebald cob gelding who is about 25 years old.  He spent a large part of his life pulling carts along busy roads.  That tells me he is like those grazing cows from yesterday's blog.  STEADY.  When he 'retired' from this he was a pony for a young girl and Christine has him four days a week.  She spends that time riding through the country side exploring and enjoying the sheer freedom of time spent with Tommy.  It was told that he loves to feel the wind in his mane.  This is an intelligent horse that has served his time working and now in ret

'Morning Spirit' Contemporary Horse Oil Painting, Modern Equine Art by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'Morning Spirit' COMMISSION PAINTING SOLD 24 x 30  Oil on Canvas Contact me to purchase by check or paypal. Laurie  © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2009 The Painting:   This is a painting rich in life and color. It is painted for a college student and preplanned by the mom to surprise her with it when she comes home.  I think it might be birthday/Christmas. She liked the Autism donation painting so the horse is very similar to that painting from earlier in the summer. The Thought:   This is from my laptop in bed.  I am totally not sure what is wrong, but lots of chills and fever.  Tylenol is my friend right now.  My body aches; some muscles are sore and I think they are sore from shaking with the chills late yesterday. Forgetfulness is where I am heading today. Our daughter managed on Friday to admit five minutes before we were leaving to drive her to school that she forgot to make a poster board assignment.  My question was 'Which is more
SIRE Contemporary Art Horse Palette Knife Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 36 inches Oil on Canvas Commission Piece, 1 of 4 in The Family Series SOLD Contact me for paintings for your home. I have worked with this particular collector to plan out wall space and paintings for the area. We debated a HUGE piece vs four large pieces and between us decided the flexibility of the four pieces gave her more art to hang in different combinations. She already had purchased two small pieces from me and was ready for a large grouping. I would love to work with you on something created Just For You. Contact me: Laurie "Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person." Colossians 4:6 There was once a spice label out there called Seasons of Grace. One of my students gave me a gift set of these seasonings. I opened one and it was a combo of several herbs making up a fresh flavoring that seemed to work with almost
BALDWIN Three Commissioned Horse Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 3 ft by 4 ft Contact me for Commission Work: Laurie I was contacted by JJ Baldwin out of Lufkin Texas to paint her mom's favorite three horses. She wanted the fauvistic style I use with lots of color. The painting is drying now and will ship next week, but I wanted to share it with you. This is three ft by four ft in size and full of thick buttery oils! The weather is gorgeous here, but I heard this morning Easter will be cold and rainy. We bought a ham at Whole Foods last night for Easter and I will fix food for family. Mom and I shopped at Albertsons early yesterday and I picked up one of those precooked chickens. Georgia had told me about the EGG NOODLES in the freezer that are like dumplings. I bought some of those too. I started out with chicken broth and added orange lentils to it and cooked them down. Then I added the chicken I had taken off the bone, onion, celery and carrots. The lentils kept it t
JAMBO ~ Abstract Horse Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 30 x 30 inches Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas COMMISSION PIECE SOLD Jambo is a Canadian horse. I could tell from the pictures he has an attitude, but it seems to me although he is assertive in his mannerisms, he is loving and kind on the flip side. He is a powerful playful horse and I hope I captured it. His owner is as adventurous as his horse and I think they must be well matched. Had it not been Thanksgiving time and me in a move, I might have flown up to meet this horse before painting him. Yes we ate much yesterday at Stacey's. She and Larry out did themselves and Morgan and Hillary helped in food prep arriving early in the morning. By the time I arrived everything was completed but Larry's roasted vegetables. Stacey made pies pies pies...yum. There were 16 of us there yesterday. Tom brought his contribution of bacon wrapped goodies that disappeared with in minutes of his arrival. In the midst of celebration
