I encourage you to give this season in some way. If you have time to serve food to the homeless, do it. If you can knit shawls for nursing homes, do it. I am so behind on painting it does no good to even think about it right now. Changes in our family are occurring faster than I can blink my eye. She had fever again yesterday so on Friday we return to the doctor. My youngest brother is out of town with his job and my oldest brother is facing a trip to Houston to attend the funeral of one of his oldest friends. Change is a constant. Did you get that message yesterday? Wanted to make sure you were reading. This was one of the days I did not want to get up. I wanted to pull the blanket back over my shoulders and nestle down for two more hours of sleep, maybe three. But I knew if I didn't get up and work I might as well shut down the studio. I cannot hide from my work and the responsibilities I have in life despite this inner urge t

The interior thermostat reads 52 degrees in the house. We have warm temps thru today and over the next week predictions starting tomorrow of cold, and by the next weekend possible sleet. My brother dropped off Mucinex last night and it seems to be helping my congestion break up in my chest. I found out I have to fend for myself and started a pot of chicken vegetable soup this morning that will last me at least three days. Terry brought home sourdough bread which makes me feel like I am eating lemons, but maybe with the soup it will work. So no cold sweet potatoes today, hot soup in about two hours. I am only up because I had to get bills paid and pull paintings for shipment. Stacey, my daughter is coming to help me get the bedroom clean and change the bedsheets. She will finish

I even took a hot shower this morning and got to wash my hair. PRAISE the Lord for the plumber. This painting was a commissioned piece for a collector in New York. I painted these two little ones when they were VERY little. Sisters in the Sand. I will post that one tomorrow for you. This is for their room. I kept in mind pinks and purples and light greens! Today is full of packing paintings and trying to clean up the house a bit. It was neglected over the freeze period. Also am battling with Quicken on both the MAC and the PC. Any Quicken Coaches out there? No one speaks English with the Quicken HELP on the phones. Can't get anything from the forum either. So much for working on taxes. It is obvious the Lord wants my energy directed elsewhere. Make a plan and hear the chuckles from heaven.
CHILD IN THE PARK 5 x 7 Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas A Painting A Day BABY BLUES!!! This was working from a photo of my grandson Jonathan. It is a tiny painting, and I really need to shoot it from my tripod. I may replace this photo with a better one. I had fun studying the light and working with the colors and TRYING not to put colors in that are traditionally in your head, but only using tones of what you actually see!!! I am stiff this morning. Will be having a wrecker pick my car up and tow it to the FIX IT SHOP. They do not think it is too bad, but want to get it up on a rack. We chose to take it to our neighbors body shop knowing it is an honest shop and they do wonderful work, but it is on the opposite side of Ft Worth from us!
