Family Heart, Contemporary Mixed Media Heart Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Family Heart 12 x 12 inches Mixed Media on Canvas. SOLD  This was a commissioned piece for early January that I have been working on.  It had a few progression shots, but I am trying to keep life a bit more simple and share things that I finish as I do them. This collage mixed media piece is filled with things that are important to this family including birthday's and thoughts. A family share life daily and nightly and these days of compiling energy and sharing are brought forth into a simple piece of art reminding them of their journey. "And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:"  1 Kings 9:4 Laurie Pace A Texas Artist   My Blog          My Website          Giclees on Canvas, Prints and Cards

How Great Thou Art, Five Hearts by Texas Artist Laurie Pace, Abstract Heart Painting

Back to Heart to Heart now entitled How Great Thou Art, Five Hearts      © G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 How Great Thou Art, Five Hearts  30 x 40 inches Mixed Media on Canvas. SOLD - Gift The Layering continued on this abstract heart painting while I was putting up the five extra give aways. Now it is time to finish this painting as it is a Christmas gift. This is the fourth Sunday in Advent. I really do not know where the time has gone in December. We have seen a little bit of everything from unexpected ice storms paralyzing our lives for almost a week, to sweet memories made with our grandchildren, and with our families.  Everything is in His time and not ours.  Jesus' birth was part of God's plan in His time, and it is now our time to reflect deeply on this simple birth and great magnitude it had on generations to come.  Reading our advent going from the Old Testament to the New Testament, Terry

Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Progress on Mixed Media Hearts 30 x 40 inches Mixed Media on canvas  Pushed a little further last night... still watching where this grows as it develops a spirit of its own. Longing for something lately? Are you looking for hope? Are their bills piling up or commitments threatening to bury you?  What are you desiring in your heart that would make you feel JOY? As humans we long to hope for things our lives. Are we hoping for things that are valuable in this world?  Use this time to grow closer to God. Desire his love and light in your life. His light will shine over the darkness of your sins.     Make me know Your ways, O Lord:   Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me,  For You are the God of my salvation;  For You I wait all the day. This type of work has it's own path and often I have to step back and let it go on its own.  Please watch each day for progress here OR a new giveaway.  I have everyone that entered for the 12 Days of Christmas and there are five more paintings to give away.  So check back each day. I will list the winners with the 12 Days of Christmas winners. Mary said:   “My being proclaims the greatness of the Lord,  my spirit finds joy   in God my savior,   For he has looked upon   his servant in her lowliness;  all ages to come shall   call me blessed.   God who is mighty   has done great things for me,  holy is his name;  His mercy is from age to age  on those who fear him. Heart to Heart Beginnings, Mixed Media Heart Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Heart to Heart 5 Commissioned Painting  30 x 40 inches Mixed Media on Canvas. SOLD  I took a bit of time choosing the Bible pages to put down on the base foundation of this piece and on top of those woven across are pages from the Chronicles of Narnia. The basic premise here are three hearts representing three children, but my deep feel is to do five hearts to include the parents... so I am working with fives as this begins to unfold. There are five hearts in Narnia built on top of the Bible and there are five waves across the top of the composition and two on the left side and three on the right side. Again the Spirit begins to build and the painting takes on its own personality.  More about Baby John and his birth from Luke and the 'Spirit' that fills this newborn babe.  " And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High;     for you will go on befor

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Life Givers  10 x 10 inches Mixed Media on Canvas. SOLD  Who are the life givers you know? These are the people in your journey that are always there for you, always giving and providing when you need it. They never ask questions because they know you so well, and they know you only ask when you really need something.   Life Givers ... I believe God has a special gift He gives to some of us.  Just being in the presence of a life giver provides comfort to you.  While some may believe 'things' can be life givers, I personally am drawn to the touch of a hand, the warmth of a smile, the kindness of help and companionship when I am weary.  A life giver empowers you to continue and make your way. They support you.   In art I felt this in the symbol of a heart and from there I did a series of heart paintings. This was the first one. "Take delight in the Lord,     and he will giv

Heart Series 1 Painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Heart Series 1 6 x 6 inches Acrylic on Canvas Heart Painting for Valentines $100  ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting: Laurie      My Prayer this week for Gentleness For some reason for the second time this week I have been stirred in my morning petitions and prayers to the single word of gentleness. Reflecting on the word brought to mind when Jesus met the woman of Samaria and asked her about her husband...and she immediately changed the subject to worship. Jesus did not press her on the true issue of her past, but allowed her to sway the conversation to her comfort zone and he reached out to answer that of what she asked him. Gentle people will always be cautious of the feelings of others and not probe into unspoken areas. A gentle person seeks to offer comfort and protect others from being "exposed" and condemned. We seem to be forthright society now days in it to always g

Often there are sad memories attached or the death of a loved one. Sometimes is just purely being alone with out family or someone to smile at or sing Silent Night with.  Terry and I were watching a movie on the love channel called Lovely Still by Nik Fackler. Nik was only 22 when he wrote the script for this film. His ability to identify so deeply to the different levels of hi
